I didn't want to spend the $ on it and I'm so glad I did. SoulFunction subframe brace and FI exhaust make jacking from the front and rear points difficult. Now the Z goes on the Quickjack every time I'm doing something that doesnt involve me sitting in the driver seat.

I'm sure it's more than paid for itself in labor savings already.

That and medical.. had a HF jackstand fail on me when I was under the car. Never moved faster in my life. Swore then and there I'd find a better way, and I did.

Yep. One of my jack stands almost failed on me too. I have a neighbor who was putting on a new motor, on 4 jackstands and I couldnt help but cringe when he was under the car. Those things looks so flimsy.
But I still use jackstands as a backup to the qj.

Where do you place them?

In the rear, I put them under the corners of the subframe along the diff. In the front, i put one at the jack point dimple. Of course, extend the jack stands close to those points as possible. Probably not 100% backup, but better than nothing.

FWIW, I really like my Esco jack stands. I am comfortable under those and I am pretty skittish as a fat man that cant move to fast. :icon17:

I heard good things about those. But in my situation, I dont think jackstands are prudent. My asphalt floor looks like its been hit with a bunch of meteors from all the sunken wheels and steel from floorjacks and stands.. :icon14:

I upgraded my head unit from a NEX-4100 to the Kenwood DDX9905s

Huge upgrade! It's quick, has wireless Android Auto, and it drives my stock speaker NOTICEABLY better than before. I paired it with the Kenwood dash cam, so now I freed my power port on the passenger side.

Other than that, the airbag light is being pesky and not playing nice with the reset procedure. I'll fight with it when i have the car apart again to install the yaw-sensor kill switch and a properly mounted foglight switch.

Ugh. I'm sorry. This is why I dont park in public. Have you considered carrying some traffic cones or possibly a coil of razor wire in your trunk to secure a "safe space" for parking?

Funny thing was I know exactly when and where it happened. It was the last parking spot in the row and I parked so that there would be a ton of room between me and the next car - literally 3-5 feet between my passenger door and the parking line for the next spot.

I told my GF "Watch, I bet some jacka55 is going to park over the line and close to me"... sure enough, someone did. I couldnt see the ding cuz it was dark, but noticed it the next morning. :shakes head:

If you truly wanted to get real, you could print off bumper stickers that say "My other car is an ice cream truck - because I'm a child molester."

Just curious how this happened. I use HF and make sure it is locked when I drop the car.

The tip of the cam that engages the teeth of the Y-shaped part sheared right off. Car lurched to the side, and I needed a new pair of shorts.

Just finished installing my Fast Intentions Non Resonated HFC. I was a little nervous that they'd be too loud. However, mated with a Tanabe Medalion cat back, they sound fantastic.

Btw I LOVE your fenders. You did an excellent job with contrasting colors on your Z. :tiphat:

For the past 2-3 months, every weekend has been either Arizona or me in the garage. First real weekend we didnt have any plans, so I let the gf decide what she wanted to do. Yesterday we reached a consensus and decided to take a drive up the San Gabriel Mountains and up to Crystal Lake. She got to see a little nature, and I was able to put the nimble Z through its paces. Other than her puckering up at almost every curve, it was a fun day :driving: :happydance:
