Extracted every demon bolt without any issues. Cats are off the car finally. Full exhaust is off. Intakes are off. Fog light is wired and installed. Diff and trans oils are done. And we live streamed the cats removal. All in all, very successful first day.

Lol driving it is the highlight! Only bring her out a few times a month. Long *** commute makes me feel guilt putting the miles on it.

I know I need help. =|

Due to an illness a few on here know about, my car has been sitting untouched since October, with a month at the dealership fighting over a CSC issue and a quick snow storm and being too weak to even drive it the car sat since then.

Anyhow, the hood from AMS is about 3 years old. Now that I'm feeling better but not out the woods yet, giving the car the attention it deserves.

Spent the past 2 nights working it to see if I could get it back. Here is what I started with.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...512_002104.jpg

Using 1000 grit paper, then 2500 and a few compounds this is what I finished with. Still have the one side to do yet.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...512_002123.jpg

Just to show what I have left to do.

Old? Much better, my body is responding well to the treatments with no side effects. Was supposed to have a PET scan done this morning but the camera broke so rescheduled for next Friday. Will know just how well I'm doing after that.

Thought I had a place lined where I could install the exhaust but that fell through so keeping my eyes open to find something. It took 3 months but finally got the Speed Force headers, just need to get them coated before putting them on.

How are things in your neck of the woods?

Glad to see you moving about.

Things are going well. Getting ready for ZDayZ next week. Week after we come home from that. We are heading out west. Denver, then to Lake Powell Ut. Rented a 75ft house boat for the week. Family get together with all the boys and their families. From there to Bloomfield MN for a couple of days. Come home from that. Then to Rausch Creek with the Power Wagon for a meet. Then in July. We are driving the Z out to Wy. for a wedding. Wife is hoping to spend some time at the beach this summer. And I'm hoping to get a chance to do some trackdays. :shakes head:

Changed the oil and re-greased the swaybar bushings. No more squeaks over speedbumps! Car feels smoother but that's probably my imagination. Car always feels better after I work on it.

Bushings showed some wear. Should replace them in another 80k miles.

If you feel like making the trip to the Philly area, I'd willingly give you a hand with the exhaust install! Let me know.

We are having great time so far. Went the Lane Auto Museum And got a personal tour of the vintage nissan collection. That was kick a$$! There were few prototypes as well race cars. The only right drive GTR in the US that no serial number and talks to you in Japanese.

Bob!!! You got ig? Link me up bro!!!

I got ps4s installed yesterday. 265 fronts 285 rear. Bit of bulge. Rides quieter than re11s. Did some swervy swerve and two hard launches to scuff up the tire a bit. Will see how it goes once tires are broken in. So far very happy

Leingod 05-15-2018 06:26 PM

Working with Seb is fun. Just send my logs over for some WOT pulled for maps 1 and 2. I def need a map with a more linear throttle response. Shifts get clunky from all that power and not being used to the RJM clutch pedal yet.

I'm fairly certain that is the soft top indicator light for roadster models. It will illuminate during soft top operation or if the top is stopped before it is fully open or closed.

Seems a little odd that it would be missing the light if you have both clusters to compare. I would have figured the coupe cluster would have an actual LED installed on the board even if the ECU wasn't programmed to ever illuminate it.

Hotrodz 05-16-2018 05:56 AM

Thanks bro...I have three sets of wheels lol. The OEM Nismo, nt03 (the ones in the picture) and TE SLs.

That was my thought also but there is a different indicator light for the soft top.

Ok, well then that makes sense why the icon in the owner's manual is slightly different. Maybe the cluster is shared with another model or something?

Appears to be a light on the UK model. Found the photo at this link: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/nissan/370z/design

Weight has bushings and you can turn with hand.Looked on line with no result.Send pic to a few people and they did not know.I went to the Nissan Dealer and showed them the pic.He told me it is an Engine vibration dampner. That would make sense.
I would like to confirm if that is Correct.

Paid off the Z today - Free and clear - Check out my for sale post. I should enjoy not having a car payment, but what fun would that be.

So keep the Z and find another car to make payments on :)
