Maybe she could help out by polishing your shift knob.

My wife calls the Z, my mistress. For all the time and money spent on it.

Swapped out the 100 psi oil pressure gauge for the 150 psi gauge from SpeedHut. Put the interior back together and cleaned it.

1st pic. 150 and 100 psi gauges.
2nd pic. Without gauge lights off.
3rd pic. With gauge lights on.

In pic's 2 and 3. You can see the LOW Warning light on for the oil pressure. It's set at 25 psi.

I still have to label my switches.

Hopefully can spare a couple of hours here and there to get it finished up.

Finished up this install...

drove to work at 5 am and decided to take the highway even tho forecasters said chance of black ice. passes 3 car accident in an area where you can see a snow squall passed by overnight. had to be 5 fire trucks and an ambulance. it's that time of year I guess.

I re-did my gauge panel and just got it back from being wrapped. It's just sitting in the cubby opening right now. I'll have the gauges in it and have it bolted down tomorrow. I went ahead and had them add the vertical stitching just like what's on the cubby door.

Rusty 11-21-2017 04:54 AM

What is your flat panel made of?

I used 1/4" craft plywood. You could use 1/8" as it's a little easier to work with. Here's my finished product.

Rusty 11-21-2017 11:34 AM

Looks good. As you know. I been looking for a cubby for a project. Have a couple offer, but their all have the white stitching. I'm looking for the red Nismo stitching.

S-04s are great tires, especially for the money. Good choice. :tiphat:

I haven’t had a chance to push them hard yet, but so far they feel way better than the sumitomos I had on previously

I bought the Z a 100K mile / Black Friday gift today. Unfortunately the $11K was spent on a new (to me) Honda Fit daily driver and not a Fast Intentions Twin Turbo kit :(

My thinking is I'll put 40K miles on it over the next two years and sell it for around $8K (a 2013 with 65K miles in 2019 seems reasonable) ...

that is a nice chunk of change towards the FI kit ;)

jchammond 11-25-2017 02:41 AM

Up getting coffee; gonna head down to the shop & remove necessary item's to install these new NGK Laser tip plugs,,,got a few other things i can do while engine is cooling down.
re-dyno tune is coming up on the 9th of Dec. & want to hit the dragstrip before the end of year & see how low in the 12's i can go...Then i gotta decide if i'm gonna get a set of all season's for my base wheel's (for the next few cold month's) or just ride on the Invo's.
Come spring-time, looking to wrap some sticky Michelin's on.

If you decide to hit it, let me know as I’d like to watch.

I’ll give you advance notice; as I usually go to Carolina Dragway in Jackson SC, only 60mi. From my house.
