Car has been under the cover for the past week now because apparently living in NY means hurricane rain for a solid week straight before the freaking thing even makes landfall down south. Why anyone would own a sports car in CNY is beyond me. Such a god forsaken hell hole of an area.

Actually took mine out today for the first time in a month or so. It doesn't take much time away from the car to be blown away by the performance. FUN drive to work. Also, got & gave a thumbs up to a clean looking silver 350z convertible.

Thats a dangerous game. I originally bought a CAI and figured since I need to take my bumper off, might as well swap bumpers and get the Nismo bumper. Then soon after, if I'm getting the front, I may as well get the Nismo rear to match. :stirthepot:

Just installed my Whiteline differential and subframe bushings while I was at work since I had no other cars to work on.

What a difference! I love how the car is tighter when turning and how there is no play when shifting as the differential is staying put.

It was so nice doing this job at work since I could have it on a lift instead of doing it on my back like I have to sometimes working on trucks here at work.

People should install these bushings even before the subframe one fails.

Got the CAI and Oil Cooler installed over the weekend. Got to test both of them out. CAI adds a little power (butt dyno) and I really like the change in engine tone, especially at high RPM. I didn't think it would make any difference with the stock exhaust but I was wrong. Still quiet enough to avoid attention from "The Man". As far as the Oil cooler goes, normal driving it goes up to 180 and pretty much stays there. Yesterday it was 96 on the cabin thermometer and romped on it a couple of times in a row. Got it up to 195. Probably would of been 220-230 without the oil cooler. Can't wait to see how it does on my favorite hill climb. Broke a couple of plastic rivets in the process so I ordered a box of 100 for $5.19 this morning.

I agree with your rational. When are you doing it?

Leingod 09-11-2017 09:34 AM

I think mine is still under the car cover. It has rained more consecutively here than harvey and Irma combined days.

Hi,

Two weeks ago i bought a used but like new Nismo Catback for real cheap from a guy who bought a new 370Z 2016 Nismo and decided to replace the exhaust system by Stillen catback.

The catback is a perfect fit the look is awsome and the sound...WOW...for me this is exactly for what i was looking for...the sound is exactly the same as the original Nismo of my friend.

So folks if you are looking for a different sond (with the original catback the sound was like in my 2013 3 series BMW you can't hear it)just a little louder over 4K RPM go ahead you will not regret it.

Got my car back with the final bolt ons, and a tune. Stillen headers and motordyne ART test pipes...yeah it's loud and my ears start popping around 90mph

Road gator did this. Ruined my O2 sensors.

Let me know how the shaving and filling goes for the front emblem.

I know the feeling. I have been trying to decide on this myself. I already have the Carbon Signal Side blade. Saw one members car that he got his side blades and front splitter from a facebook vendor. His front splitter was raised in the middle and might just work on the 15+ Nismo. I just can't remember the members name. If i find out, I find out, I will pass it on to you so that you can take a look. It may give us another option.

I just got in my z1 2 piece rotors, and my clutch set up in the mail yesterday. South bend stage 2 quiet disk with southbend dxd 19lb flywheel, new master, zspeed heavy csc, insulated clutch line, plus new motul clutch and tranny fluid. This in addition to the Z1 poly trans mount, twm short shifter, rjm clutch assembly, and Tommy Kaira shift knob I already have, my car should shift and drive like a dream. :driving::excited:

Yes it is. BTW you have so little time to work with it before you can't spread it anymore

Have a carbon signal lip kit on the way. Trying to decide what color to do it in. Kinda want to see if I can find a color similar to my wheels. If anyone can help that paint (cooltoy with your magical powers maybe) I'd be very greatful.

As far as the bumper, did a full coat of white primer to see what needs to be smoothed out. Sanding it tomorrow then filler primer to fill in little **** from when it got hit.

btw this is the color of my wheels.
