It's been said that babies born today won't even know how to drive!
A lot of news coming out of The Detroit auto show is about atonamus vehicles.

Does anyone know of friend or family members who are of age but delay getting their driver's license ? I do ! I guess the hand writing is on the wall.

As time goes on and we age out driving as we know and enjoy will fade to black.

About a year ago I read about some pole results that I found unbelievable. A survey was taken of people in their 20s. They asked them what they could not live without: their drivers license or their cell phone. The vast majority of them said their phones. For me, my car and DL have always meant freedom, but these young people don't care about that anymore. They just want to sit alone and text with one another. Don't get me wrong, I love my smart phone, but I would never choose it over my car or DL.

I don't even own a smart phone. It is the Z all the way. I plan on keeping it until the state won't let me drive anymore. I think with all this current speculation I'll just sit back & see what happens.

About 18 months after I bought my Z I got engaged. A number of my friends asked me if I was planning to sell the car to pay for the wedding. A few months later I bought a house. They asked if I was going to sell it to help pay for the house. A few years later we had a baby. Again, the Z questions came. A year after that I sent my step-son off to college and yet again people asked If I was going to sell the Z. My final answer was something to this effect: "NO! I'm not selling the Z. I'm never selling the Z, so stop asking. When I drop dead, prop me up in the driver's seat, dig a HUGE hole, put the entire car in it with me at the wheel and then cover us both with dirt."

Yes!! My step daughter still does not want her learners permit.. and my stepson is 20 and still does not want his drivers license.. I really don't know what the hell is up with this upcoming generation...
