Cranked up the 75' yesterday and the fuel pump pucked fuel everywhere. It is leaking around the casing of the fuel pump. Ethanol in the fuel causes some strange stuff to happen.

No bueno... sounds like the diaphragm is shot. Ethanol attacks rubber.

I would check all of the rubber parts in the fuel system. The fuel today doesn't like the rubber in older cars. I've restored a couple of motorcycles and had problems if the fuel sat to long in the fuel system.

Yeap, that is on the agenda. Older Z's are notorious for poping fuel lines up at the motor. Pisses everywhere and can catch on fire if your unlucky. We all know I put the U in unlucky. I will be looking for a Bosch 044 pump as a replacement.

Called the shop today. Car is on the frame rack. It got the rear frame rail and floor. Going to luck at it in the morning. This isn't good.

Ruh-roh. You can replace hatches and bumpers till the cows come home but a tweaked unibody is something I wouldn't want to fix on a nice car like this.

Yeap, it depends on how far it got. At or past the suspension mounts is a no go. Guess we will have to see. Maybe it is not that bad. Don't know yet.

Honestly man - after a wreck like that, I'd rather have them total it. That car will never be the same again.

Make sure you're compensated enough so you can comfortably replace it. This is all a temporary pain in the ***, but you'll get through it. There are many more Nismos out there.

If the frame is bent, don't even bother. Total it. You'll never be able to sell a car w/ a bent frame, and it'll never be the same.
