NISMO 370 and rain

I can show you that ^ isnt true.. I live up a pretty good incline which has a few sweeping high speed turns that I take on dry conditions close to about 80 (she can go a lot faster but.... lotsa cops)...

One day it was POURING hard... got cut off by a charger who lost traction lane changing... I slam on my brakes to slow down to avoid rear ending him... INSTANTLY my rear slides out... And although VDC kicked in as I was mid corner - the rear threw itself out w/ the traction light blinking. If not for my reflex time which I spent countersteering I would have been in a ditch upside down. DO NOT EXPECT VDC to save you in the rain. All I am saying is... If you drive the same way you do when its dry when its wet - VDC on or off you will pay for it...

Slamming on the brakes mid-corner is going to upset just about any car. The Z has an incredible amount of traction in the dry, so yes, if you try to drive the same way in the wet you are going to get a surprise. However if you drive sanely you won't have any trouble.

How is it in the rain if you drive responsibly? My g37s is good in the rain (not great) but in a bad storm on the PA turnpike for over 2 hours this summer with ponding on the road it held its own as long as I was driving slow. The g has 45s in the back but the NISMO has much bigger tires so wonder if there is a difference.

I've been driving in this Atlantic storm for the last 2 days and about 250+miles and the NISMO is much more stable than my last car a 2005 Mustang GT, and the stang had 235s all around. So I wouldn't worry about the rain.

This is my DD and I don't find the ride harsh. Firm yes but not harsh and 50+ miles a day of my commute are on mountain washboard roads with no lines.

Try it you'll like it..

I've been in the southern stretch of this storm for the past 3-4 days, and I can say the Z's the best car I've had in the rain. I still haven't been able to spin tires in it with VDC on, rain or not. My Scion tC spun tires if the ground had so much as a puddle nearby.

My buddy's 280z says he spins tires several times on his drive to our job if it's raining and wished his older car had the stability controls the new Z has.
