I made some dumb (financially speaking) mods to my 8th gen civic when I had it. Nothing that completely broke the bank, but plenty of things that, after sitting in my garage for far too long, I realized I could've just not spent money on, saved that money, and gotten much more meaningful parts if I had a little bit of patience.
My build plan is pretty simple this time around, since I have a car that is at least fast enough in stock form to keep me entertained for awhile, so I don't plan to make any real performance modifications until performance related parts start to break down anyway (Drive an '09 sport base with about 85k miles now). I figure I'll do a few aesthetic things, then when the big repairs come down the road, upgrade and do big modifications as they come. |

Stock to me is the way the factory built it. I just can't have my car looking like everyone that drives out the dealer with one, great looking cars, no doubt, but Z's look a lot better lowered with some sick wheels. Just my opinion though.

I prefer not to mod cars anymore, I try to just buy them the way I want them. Unless it's something functional like a set of winter rims or something cosmetic like a shift knob.
The NISMO is already kind of modded. Basically it's all the mods I would have done to a Z anyway, but it comes that way stock. That was a big part of the appeal to me. So yeah, 100% stock here, and going to stay that way. |

Not stock, I have aftermarket wheels, Berk HFC and CBE, GTR start button, and a Pioneer 2DIN.
Those are all the modifications I've done to the car. Would like to do more, but I don't want to spend the money. |

I don't so much as change my own oil and even my car isn't stock: aside from aftermarket tires, it will also soon have a Z1 oil cooler so I can track it once or twice this summer (and so I can drive the entire NJ Turnpike over Memorial Day weekend without overheating in traffic). If I lived in a region that didn't require all-season tires and if I didn't care about tracking it, though, I probably would have left it stock...but then, I only got it 16 months ago and the previous owner hadn't done anything to it.

Anyone who views this forum and manages to keep their car stock has some serious self control.
I find myself discovering all the aftermarket goodies and BAM, I've got stuff being delivered to my front door. LOL |

I appreciate all you guys that do appearance mods, makes my 13 sport look unique!
I liked how the 13 sport looked stock so when replacing the exhaust, had the stock exhaust tips put back on. Only noticeable difference on my car is window tints. |

My engine is all stock except for running Mobil 1
. No complaints here, it all depends on what your driving plans are.
