no, he is telling the truth. a friend of mine works as the finance manager at nissan and was telling us they sold a 2015 gtr for 85k. that's at the dealership.

the 2015 Q60 bases at 40k soooo I would assume the updated 2016/17 Q60 would base around 45-50k with the body and engine update easily.
given that it is infinti and not Nissan that price isn't out of the realm of possibility. especially with the 2015 Q60S starting at 47k and the limited version starting at 50K. then the vert IPL basing at 62k.

You know, if the new Z has an AT that shifts a little faster ... And frankly, I like the idea of not having to move my hand from the wheel to the shifter every few seconds. At speed it is good to have your hands on the wheel. Used to be you could get shift kits to boost performance of auto transmissions. What's up with that?
I was on the fence when I got my Z. I decided the Syncro revmatch was sufficient automation for me. But, I was almost there.

![]() ![]() I think Nissan is smart enough not to do that, though I tend to agree that the auto will probably be pushed more next generation. The manual is good, but better tech, ease to drive, etc will turn the tide for people to just buy the auto. Heck, even one of my friends who is 100% manual guy got to take out a c7 with the 8 speed auto and came back saying he does not want to drive his manual vette anymore.

The item that makes the GTR so bulletproof is the fact that each motor is hand built to tight tolerances similar to other highend exotics. the next VQ will not get that treatment.
