Let me ask you, how many Nismo's have been made from 2009 to 2011 thus far? Doesnt seem that rare to me. Somewhat saturated unless your comparing it to the 3.5 billion people on this planet.
Well, all I can say is that it's awesome driving not only the only Z around but the only NISMO in my area of the midwest. As far a production of the Nismo, not sure how many they are going to pump out in 2011. I didn't buy my Nismo for it's collector value, but because my order for a Z Touring/Sports/Nav was cancelled on March 25th due to the issues Japan is having and my dealer could only locate the Nismo within 250 miles. I'm not disappointed with my purchase although I did want all the bells and whistles the Touring/Sports would of had, just have to and them myself I guess.

Which part of IL are you from? Must be the middle of no where to be the only nismo there. I know that there is a second nismo within blocks of where I live. In fact it is the same color too.

Springfield and wow, after I sent that last message, I just went to lunch and saw 2 other black Z's both 350's AND someone told me they saw a silver Nismo in a town close by, so, there ya have it. STILL I don't see a lot of Z's around, which is one of the main reasons I got one instead of a Mustang, Camaro or Corvette.

Man..............you guys are a tough crowd. Went from discussing (or bashing) NISMOs to CF penis??? Woah, lol........

There are plenty of Zs around Central Texas, yet there are only 2 NISMOs that are normally out and about. A guy in my unit that works on Fort Hood - 2008 Red NISMO Z and me on West Fort Hood - 2009 Red NISMO Z. I have seen both black and white 2009+ NISMOs in the area, but they are either garage queens or outta towners.

One more thing. I am not really subscribing to the collector's item bit. I mean the plaque is cool and all, but I bought the car to drive. The NISMO fit the bill better than installing a bunch of aftermarket cosmetics. The SRM is cool and all, but I rarely use it anymore. The VLSD is a good for street use which is all I have done so far (hopefully that will change in the future). And I really like the NISMO Rays. The clencher is that I got it for the right price which happens to be just a bit more than a Base/Sport. Granted, I bought the car in 2010 even though I worked out my deal 4QTR 2009 because I was out of the country at the time.

fyi: Your nismo brother brought up the penis.... and used my signature to his imagination. I think i just described "jacking-off" OMG.. DUDE... GROSS....

Okay so back on topic.. Its not the Nismo sucks, I truly believe the reason why there even is negativity "well the number one reason" is value of the price tag. Either more car for the price or less price for the car. I dont see the advantage to an extra 10grand PLUS for it. Here’s a good example. I am an automotive car dealer on the side and flip a few cars for profit. I can go and purchase a 2002-2003 Ferrari 360 Spider for 50-65 grand right now...that’s 10-15k more than a nismo and i don’t care about the argument people make about "its a 2002 not a 2011" point being, a lot of people do not daily drive there nismo because of wear and tear, but same with this example using the Ferrari... They have 5k-21k regarding miles.

Another example... 2009 Nissan GTR $52,000-$65,000... Miles 3K-33k....

I would say another 10 grand and move up big time... But that's simply the reason why I do not select Nismo as the better car because of its price factor. FYI they are going for $26,000-$30,000 for a 2009 370z nismo. Miles from 6k-18k... NON NISMO SAME YEAR going for 25k-28k.

So after two years, nismo new was 10k plus over base NEW and now they are only couple thousand. DEPRECIATE RATE IS MORE THAN BASE 370z thus the collector value is the same gimmick that the sales person used on you when you bought the car and showed you the cool metal stamp with a number on it that cost .50 cents to make.

Most nismo owners bought their nismo for about 5-7k more over a base/sport... I paid about 6k more over a base+sport but I also got all the options except for the 500 dollar brake option. This has been debated many times over already and you will see that 99% of nismo owners bought the car for the body and rims. Those two alone are worth it considering if you went aftermarket, it would cost well over 8k just for something decent. Then factor in installation cost/paint/down time.

they don't make that many nismo z to worry about even if you did hate that car. it's not like you would see one every day. to most drivers, they don't even exist

I see you point but its something thats not orignal. Your buying the same package that hundreds have. Take that 8 grand, by an AMUZE kit FG for cost and similar to factory color tone so 1500-2500, labor and paint 1500. BETTER KIT for 3000-4000 Painted and installed, then buy some 3 piece wheels with the other 4k...TELL ME THAT YOU DONT LIKE THAT PLAN

Just to be honest I dont think I would have bought a 370 if there was not a Nismo. And yes I have already changed the exhaust. But I did not buy it for that. To me I liked the bodykit and the interior better. And to people that want to complain that its a waste of money. Well its my money not yours. I'm very happy with my Nismo. And still have money to mod it. But to be honest I like it when everytime I call Z1 Motorsports and order part they ask model, I say 370z they reply with base, sport, or touring? And I say Nismo and I always get something like nice man or something along those lines. Its like people forget there is a Nismo out there. To me that makes it worth it. If I go the a car show and there are 10 370z odds are I'm the only Nismo.
