I had a couple of friends in the same situation years ago and never ever acted like the guys on this forum. Pointing out fingers to somebody else is not the best way to create a community sharing experiences. I'm disappointed overall with the conduct here because I could be totally selfish not posting this for other people. I have a family, my own company and I suppose the ones who believe that are more experienced than others handling their Z's should be more collaborative and not getting a condescending tone on their posts. Regardless on what happened to me or to the others in the past/future, I think you could take a better advantage on having somebody like me posting my own experience and try to collaborate with the new Z buyers to take care of themselves when driving it on the streets.
What do you want people to collaborate on? Do you think we're going to give pointers on how to properly drift on public streets? Is that the kind of collaboration you're looking for? The reason you're getting negative feedback is that the majority of people on this forum think it's irresponsible to go out at 3AM to live out one's Tokyo Drift fantasies, period. So the last thing they're going to do is "collaborate" on how you could have done it better! As for not being selfish by posting what happened to you, I will give you that. Credit where credit is due. But the only way I see your post truly benefiting others is in its service as a cautionary tale. In other words, your post is valuable only in so far as it serves as an example of what NOT to do. Also, I know you're quite new to this forum, so you may not be aware of something. Namely, you're not the first person to post about wiping out their Nismo while trying to slide around, have some fun with VDC turned off, etc. Point being, a lot of the negativity stems from the fact that we're seeing a pattern develop with all these posts, a pattern that actually makes me wonder what is it about the Nismo that appeals to a demographic that appears to have a higher incident rate of irresponsible antics leading to crashes. So one could also argue that by posting your experience, you're also helping to further sully the collective reputation of Nismo owners. I mean seriously. Based on all the posts I've seen from Nismo owners wiping out, if I ever were to consider buying a used one, I think one of the first things I'd ask is "How many times has this thing been crashed into a curb?" Now, I don't know if you think I'm being a negative prick after all that, and it's okay if you do. But I'm just trying to be honest with you.

Finally a reasonable approach. As I said before, the only reason I posted it to prevent new accidents like this. Totally agree with you.

I did something similar to this when i was 17. My first car a Mazda Mx6.
V6 front wheel drive, 2 door.
It had just rained in this empty walmart parking lot. Real slick and shiny. Well i drove alittle too close to random curbs with grass on it. BAM, front left wheel smashed to the back of the wheel well. I was soo freak'n scared afterward, i just sat in my car for 5mins shaking my head.
(not my actual car)
