I got my brand new 2010 370z and loving it. It's a Touring w/Sport Package and Nav. It's my first car too. Only seventeen and already have my dream car.

Congrats. Since you're in NY, make sure your rims have wheel lock. What not to do? well .... don't turn off the VDC button (unless you really know what you're doing or driven the car for a while)

P.S. I edited your thread title a little. Hope you don't mind.

Dont turn VDC off until you can confidently drive. Dont crash it. Dont be stupid. If you are going to race go to the track.

Other then that, take care of it, learn it, then use it.

IMHO no need for mods right out the door.

You are one hell of a lucky kid. Stay alive enjoy your dream.

OH! Clear Bra get it! You will regret not getting it.

My advice? Drive it like an old person for a solid year or two. Literally. You need WAY more stick time...

Welcome, as others have said, don't turn off the VDC. Don't drive like a maniac. You are not speed racer, so don't go zipping around like a fool. Don't take turns at 90 mph. So in general drive safetly. Its a fairly powerful car, and a 17 year old boy will do what 17 year olds do, and as your first car you'll find it may not be as forgiving as you may think.

I may of dated myself with the speed racer comment but this is Speed Racer Speed Racer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Personally, I'd ask my parents to sign me up for an advanced drivers course if they bought me a car like this. They'd probably take it as a sign that you'd rather learn how to drive properly (even at their cost) and it'd reflect well on your insurance...

Congrats, just be careful with her. I can't tell you how many 350z's I've seen wrecked by teenagers on the 350z forum so hopefully you're different.
