Hello Spooler, is MA Motorsports doing all your work? If so, what are your thoughts on their quality and workmanship? I’m at the start of selecting a shop to handle my new project. I own a 2019 370 Nismo 7AT, and I’m looking to have a motor built, tranny, and full TT set-up. I live in MD. I’m willing to haul my car to the best shop. I’ve researched this on the net and have seen so many mixed reviews on almost every shop within 100 miles. Naturally, for the cost of this project, I want the best team to build, install and tune. Thank you kindly

Hi Spooler, I could use a bit of advice, if you're willing to give it. I'm running Aaron's C38R Rotrex kit in my 2014 w/ supporting mods. Tuned by Dynosty, 600whp. I had an overheating incident last summar & now my stock engine is significantly broken. Blue smoke out the pipes & the knocking under the engine sounds like a Peterbilt diesel. I definitely need a tear down, assessment & rebuild. I'm trying to plan a path forwards. I don't have any desire to go beyond 600-650 whp; def not trying to get into your league. I've spoken to Mark @ Mazworx. His only option is $17k for a stage 3 built motor, IF they can use my block/heads. If not, then add in the cost of that too. Plus $5-6k for MA to R&R engine, then $1200 for tune, etc., etc.. I'm sure you know this tune. Obviously that would work fine for my power levels, but it also seems like a bit of overkill. What i'd love to find is some option between a stock motor & Mazworx. I checked w/ Dynosty & they are not "currently" offering engine build services. Just wondering if you (1) have any advice, or (2) know of any good quality shops that might do a build that would suffice for my power level and perhaps be a bit cheaper than Mazworx. If necessary, I could handle the engine R&R here (Pittsburgh PA area), or could trailer the car somewhere & drop it off. Thanks in advance & no worries if you have no time for this. I will likely pose this same question on the forums, just thought I'd start w/ you first. Cheers! Chuck Rile

Yes I have adjustable spring perches but I was under the impression that too much preload isn't a good thing. From what I am understanding here is that its necessary to get a higher ride height?

Hey Spooler, I see you have some experience with the aragosta coilovers, I'm having some trouble getting the proper ride height in the rear. From everything I've read its possible to get above stock ride height but I cant get close to stock. I'm just about at the minimum thread in the rear height adjustment and the preload on the spring is about 0.25" with the suspension completely drooped. Any advice?

Far as contacting vividracing about the motec, starting price is around 10k plus you have to get your car to California which is another 1k to ship. I contacted him last year about it
