Nope.......just wrapped the empty plugs in plastic to prevent water getting in. I also bought gutter leaf guard at the big box store, (it's steel dipped in plastic, still looks good after years) to dress the empty holes. ( Cut to shape, and Installed from behind the facia with JB Weld. )

If you're referring to rust other than exhaust, it's really hard to avoid. Like you I winter store my Z ( live in Mich. ). In the fall before storage I put it up on the lift and toatally wipe down...

I really can't agree, Been driving Maximas since 95 ( on my third ) 5/600,000 mi.and I can't say they're any better or worse than any thing else out there! If you want to talk about rust buckets...

I have a 13 touring auto w/ 18000 mi. & I have had it since new & no problems! Good luck!

I've seen it on both my 06 maxima and my 13 Z Only when I hit a bump, and not every time, it happens rarely. There's been no adverse affect, never changed a bulb on the max. And that's after 12...

After your Z meet, update this thread, as I am also interested in a Borla exhaust. I'm not interested in a loud exhaust, just better than stock! And absolutely NO DRONE ! Thanks
