I'd just take the door panel off and measure it, not that hard to to do. Installed 6.75" a month or so ago, it was a tight fit for sure, but you never know, these mid's are huge, can't imagine a 8"...

Haha, that explains my pains with my Nexus 7 2013 in my Sportage for years, that and so many of my Nexus devices (tablets, phones) had a messed up USB connector. Will never touch a Nexus product...
