Steering rack is telescopic, just not adjustable out of the factory. I didn't do it myself, but from what my mechanic have told me, all he did was extend stock steering rack (100% it's telescopic)...

These pics show part of the reason this car looks big and bulky to me. The entire side of the car is basically flat. It no longer has the old "telephone" wheel flares. I like the 370 much more...

It's inside the housing bell of the tranny. FWIW, alot of members have had issues with the Z1 kit, and will recommend ZSpeed.
