Default Diff Fluid for 7AT

Hi All,

New to the Z community and am looking into what fluids I would need for different parts and what’s available to me in the Middle East.

I have a 7AT ‘14 sport touring model (with VLSD) and looking to change the diff fluid. Found the Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90 for a good price and was wondering if that is fine to use for my car. Am not sure because there isn’t a mention of an LSD additive or maybe there is and I’m not sure what I’m looking at.

Severe Gear® SAE 75W-90-100% Fully Synthetic Gear Lube https://amzn.eu/d/etuBzyo

If you're only up for maintenance, use whatever stock fluid is recommended by nissan. If you want to improve the function and performance of your diff, then throw it out and get a mechanical LSD.

Nissan just says use GL5 75W90 nothing about LSD additives. But since it is an LSD not quite sure if the Amsoil is fine

It's almost like it's not an LSD. And I really mean it. It acts like an LSD only while the oil is super cold and only if you don't have too grippy tires. In all other cases you have one wheel spin and you ask yourself why is the car acting unpredictably.

Ohh didn’t know that. Good to know!

So with that I would assume since the Amsoil Severe specifies “Compatible with conventional and synthetic gear lubes and most limited slip differentials” I should be fine.

Yeah, don't waste money on it. Sure, lube needs to be good, but the diff itself is such, that you can't expect wonders about it so you can't actually make it perform worse than it already is.

Not looking for anything to enhance the performance, but just want to avoid any chatter from the difference

After I bought my Z - I got letters from corporate every 3 months - this long format survey - I reminded them about the need for an oil cooler, transmission cooler, and something better than the moron level VLSD we were given...

Now we do have it on the new Z - but inflation = you get to pay out the ___ for it!!
