I would ask him where did they come up with the one year time frame. Have him produce it in writing. If he can't go corporate on them. It may be fruitless but you can get some satisfaction making...

Never consider MPG in a sports car. If I was concerned about that I probably wouldn't have a Z. My Acura TL gets fair mileage and my Mountaineer (family truckster) with a 4.5 liter V8 gets even less...

I set my interior temp somewhere between 72 and 74 and let the car decide if AC is necessary. I don't pay attention to whether it's on or not and can't think of a reason why I would.
