Mirrors look good

One thing I wish I had done differently on my rear window... black out those trim pieces before you drop in the lexan... and black out the lexan where it sits over the trim pieces

Also if you're running w/o passenger seat, might consider shortening that battery cable and mounting it at the aft end of passenger area. Gets the battery about 10 inches lower as well.

I had planned to black out the lexan but didn't think about the trim pieces, so thanks for that.

I'll be running a passenger seat. Never know when there will be a Leh Keen or Mike Skeen at the track to teach me a thing or two. They seem to be a Road Atlanta a lot.

Lexan Installed.

I left the film on the out side to help protect it till I'm ready.

Nice! Did you just cut a flat sheet yourself, or is someone supplying pre-cut rear windows for our cars? It doesn't seem like there's any real curve in it.

Also, another random question: anyone tried running our cars without power steering? I've been reading about doing this to (other models of) track cars, seems like it's a nice way to shave more weight and complexity, and it's only annoying at parking-lot speeds. The basic idea being to remove the PS pump and reservoir (and electronics and cooler and tubing, etc), and just loop the fluid lines down at the steering gear box (filled with... grease instead of PS fluid?). The pulley system would then be down to just crank + alternator, not even sure how you'd route the belt at that point.

It's a flat sheet from Home Depot. Being the rear its no big deal IMO. The front I will order custom for sure.

The power steering mod I'd keep. Even at high speed its more responsive.
