A few more things came today from Z1. Doing a little dress up on the motor. Got silicone hoses, and stainless steel brake hoses. Going to install the brake hoses at a later date. After my Ti heat shields come, and I get the calibers powder coated red. Got to talk to Mike yet about that. ;)

OK, the install of the hoses. Took the cross brace off and the engine cover to make it easier to get at things. Did the PVC hoses first. As they are the easiest to get at. What I found out was that if you reuse the factory spring clamps. It's best to put the clamp on the end of the hose and squeeze the clamp open as you are putting the hose on. Note. I'm planning on doing the duel catch cans for the PVC lines at a later date. If anybody cares.

Next up. I took off the air tubes for the G3's to put on the hoses for them. While they was off. I cleaned them up using Flitz. Good stuff to use on polished aluminum. Checked inside the tubes to see how dirty they were. They're clean. The hose for the vacuum booster was a royal PITA! The hose came off the manifold easy. BUT it was glued to the metal tube at the firewall. Had to split it open with a razor knife and use a small screwdriver to pry it off.

My Ti heat shields from Hard Brakes came today. So this will be my next project after I get my tune from RT Tuning tomorrow. I got 2 different sets of heat shields. One set for the Nismo front brake calipers. The second set for when I get my BBK. Which is in the future. Need coil overs first. Don't know when I'll do the heat shields and stainless brake hoses yet. My work schedule has changed for the end of the month. Where I work at. We are having an outage for 2 months. Meaning 12+ hrs a day.

Rusty 10-02-2012 08:11 PM

I had a lonnnng day today. Drove from Pittsburgh to Philly and back. Had Vince at RT Tuning work his magic with UpRev. I LIKE the results. Nice throttle response, no flat spots in the curve, and my gas mileage went up. Final numbers now. HP is at 320.41 and torque is 269.18. I'm very pleased with what Vince has done. And he took his time to explain things to me. :tiphat:

Here's a video of the final dyno run. Click on picture for the video. My camera does not to justice to the sound. :(
Update: Numbers after port matching the manifold. 334HP and 279Tor. :D

Sorry about having to go the philly :p I thought your side of the state refused to acknowledge the existence of the ghetto side :rofl2:

That's a fine looking machine though

Rusty 10-03-2012 06:33 AM

Thanks crash. Everytime I go to "THAT" side of the state. I'm packin' heavy. Heck, We're still getting parking ticket from the Philly cops. And the people who are getting them never been to Philly! Shows you how much love we have for that area. LOL After I got done with RT Tuning. Had lunch with Mike (firerescue) in some Irish pub.

That is phunk's race fuel pump. It's for when you make a hard right hand turn, and the fuel goes to the other side of the tank. And then the car shuts off because of fuel starvation.

That's what I figured, they're finishing up a brand new track so that will be a great time to come break it in.
Keep me in the loop, I'd like to see that bitch in action.

Another up-date. :D Just installed my Nissan MotorSports mesh grill. Had to wait 6 months for this damn thing to come in. Install is pretty simple. Drill 4 holes. The grill is shipped flat. I had to gentle bend it to the contour of the bumper. After I bend it and fitted it to the bumper. I sprayed it with Plastic-Dip. Part number is 62851-RTZ40. List price is $438.89.

Nissan Motorsports. Call 1-888-833-3225. PN: 62851-RTZ40. List is $438.89. Depends on who you talk to about the price. I got mine cheaper. Also had to wait 6 months for it. It came from the the land of the raising sun, by slow boat. :icon14:

mwhit02 01-01-2013 10:26 PM

you should take some new front pics of your car with the grill installed.
