My shaft and knuckle are indexed together. There is no way I can move the shaft one tooth to align the steering wheel back up. The scribe line I put on lines up. So I don't know what happen at the moment.

FPenvy 04-04-2012 11:53 AM

i don't know how yours is different. mine was a tooth off and i just re-aligned it and then it was dead on center again.

i see in your location you're in south west PA like me. where in SW PA are you from?

I'm in Brownsville. A Mon River Rat. Where are you at?

If you enlarge the picture. You can see the index spline on the shaft. This mates with the one inside the knuckle.

I'm like 13 miles NW of Pittsburgh town called ambridge. i know Brownsville. i went to college down in Waynesburg and my sister is at Cal now.

as for the steering issue i looked at the pic and honestly i cant remember exactly how mine looked when i did it since it was awhile ago. when i do my oil change soon I'll see if i can see a difference and take a pic while it's on the lift.

I know where Ambridge is at. Had an uncle that lived there for awhile. Cal. U is about 4 miles from me.

That would be helpful with the pic next time. :tiphat:

crash1369 04-26-2012 05:37 AM

Also got the Nismo RC brake ducts for the front bumper. Now I have to figure out how to go from a 4" opening to a 2" hose that is on the Stillen kit.

Ron 06-19-2012 10:13 AM

Sweeeet! Those things are expensive!

Pretty cool, I want to see these installed.

You can't just open up the ports on the stillen kit to 4", or there must be backing plates to go with the intake vents?

Or what about these

Hi crash. LOL I've already looked into those reducers. I got to wait for my credit card to cool off some before buying anything else. After going to Moab and Rausch Creek this year with the Power Wagon. And buying 4 Bilstein 7100 Carli valved shocks for the Power Wagon. You know my credit card is smokin".

Wish you still had the Power Wagon. You missed a good time at Rausch Creek! http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/....php?f=12&t=13

We got a new forum. It's the link I posted about Rausch Creek. Leif is the head nut there. LOL Most of us got kicked off of Dodgetalk by Ram3500dually. No PM, e-mail or any type of notice. Just can't log on anymore. So I spend more time here now.

Yeah I knew about that, I had talked to him about it when he was thinking about starting it. I didn't know he jumped right into it though, then when I saw it was already running I couldn't log in
I just started a new account yesterday though so I guess that's what I needed to do, haven't posted though

Got my 4" to 2" reducers for my brake ducts. This is what I needed to adapt the 4" Nismo ducts the the 2" hose that is in the Stillen brake cooling kit. Which should be here tomorrow. I have to machine down alittle OD on the 4" side of the reducer so that it slides into the brake duct, shortening the overall length.

My ZSpeed Aluminum Under Pan Diffuser came in too. I'll install it when I do my brake duct install. I like to do everything at once. :D

Huckleberry 07-31-2012 03:24 AM

what a beautiful Z!

Mind explaining to me what the purpose/benefits would be for installing that oil pan spacer?

Thank you!

The spacer is for more oil. It's a little over an extra quart. As these motors run hot to begin with.
