You're such a liar. You know you want to see it.

SeeyaBud86 06-07-2010 07:54 PM

Grats Raul. You definitely need to put up a video when you get it on. Obviously a review as well.

I want to see photoshops of the chairs in his engine bay.

RCZ 06-07-2010 10:55 PM

sorry guys, gf says I can't post naked pix....but she didnt say anything about videos...

There will definitely be a big review, many pictures and videos. (of the supercharger)

I'll keep everyone updated with more sneak pics if I get any. The installation is being documented with lots of pictures, so there's going to be plenty of eye candy. I hope to get some of the tuning on video and obviously I will get some dyno runs for you guys.

HP Logic is doing a completely custom tune on the car since I'm installing the kit on a car that has headers and HFC's. We should be able to get some nice results on the 93 octane, however I'm a little concerned about the weather. Its been 100 degrees with insane humidity here for the past week and that's just about the worst weather you can tune in. Also the HP logic's dyno is a Mustang so its going to read lower than Stillen's. I am aiming for 400whp on a safe tune. Hopefully its more like 420whp, but its hard to have high hopes with this weather. I am confident we can squeeze a good bit more than that once things cool off a little bit, but I'm in no rush to blow up due to being impatient.

Thinking about fabbing a water sprayer or using a cryo2 system to chill down the heat exchanger a bit more. Although its completely unnecessary for the kit, I like the idea of having added cooling on everything. Also a fan for one of the oil coolers is in the works....

Best air freshener ever. Its a little pricey and doesn't last too long, but its amazing. https://www.getsquash.com/store/?m=

RCZ 06-08-2010 11:46 AM

Another update: First startup possibly tonight

Also adding a huge oil cooler core to replace the stillen one. So I have a Stillen Oil cooler kit for sale. Everything but the sandwich adapter is for sale. Will post pics later. If interested, let me know.

LiquidZ 06-08-2010 12:09 PM

RCZ, can you comment on how the intake is fastened? Is there a bracket out of sight that secures it to the car? Also, does the core support need to be enlarged to fit the intake pipe?

Slightly smaller, but fatter than an iphone. The small is the most addictive thing in the world. I get compliments for it all the time now.

Looks awesome. How difficult is it to reach the adjuster at the top of the coilover on the passenger side? It looks like it may be under the intake tubing now.

RCZ 06-10-2010 08:17 AM

There's room there to put the little allen key in there.

LiquidZ 06-10-2010 08:31 AM

Yum.

JB-370z 06-10-2010 08:44 AM

If you took the photos with a phone most likley that phone has a video camera too???? I would love to see some video and hear this monster roar.

RCZ 06-10-2010 08:49 AM

Liquid: I haven't forgotten your question and I will answer it asap.

I left my t1i there with him and that has 720p video capabilities except I don't want him starting it unnecessarily until it is tuned.

Once its tuned, there will be plenty of video coming in..

I like the new title under your name, nice.
78% is a percise number to have.
Also when I get some GTM forced induction maybe I can do a write up to add to the wall of stillen parts on your site :tiphat:
*****Are you happy with the polished finish on the charger the picture are too saturated to see??? Do they use a clear coat on it??? If so watch what you put on there to clean it. Dont want to make it cloudy.

LiquidZ 06-10-2010 09:27 AM

Thanks RCZ. I look forward to your review!

Im waiting for someone to submit something about GTM, I'd be more than happy to put it up. Thanks for looking at my site though :) If you want to be the first then let me know. As you can imagine it takes a lot of work to keep making my own material and running that site on my own. I need support from you all to keep the content fresh. I've been getting more PM's lately about getting stuff up there, but I wish I got way way more.

As far as the title...I'm making a conscious effort to get along with everyone. I know I can be opinionated at times.

Polished is the way to go, it looks amazing. I don't know if they clear coat it or not, I doubt it though, as far as I know its just polished.

stormcrow 06-10-2010 10:59 AM

Commending you on your build, Raul. And really looking forward to seeing what HP Logic can do with a custom tune. Of course you are going to be much better off than with the canned tune. I think 400whp should be fairly easily ascertained with a good built in safety factor. Good luck!

BTW, if you are truly interested in having a write up re: GTM, you can always use my build thread with pictures. Or I could even pen something extra if you want to have something that is from a different angle or different direction.

shumby 06-10-2010 11:46 AM

I could do a GTM write up on my SC build. that is if you don't hate me

FuszNissan 06-10-2010 12:15 PM

Looking good RCZ. Can't wait to see what she makes.

I am too, but they don't have space on the dyno until tuesday...upsetting I know, but that's life. I appreciate you coming in here and commenting. I hope you are right and 400whp can be easy to hit.

I am truly interested and I thought about it before, but I didn't think me asking to use your stuff would have a very good outcome. Let me check it out and I'll see if I can put it up by today.

That would be good, I don't hate you. I'm not here to make enemies. Let me know when you have something.

Thanks and thanks for the support with the Clutch build!

Speaking of clutch, for those of you that want to know. The southbend has worn in and its perfect now. Everyone who has felt my clutch has more or less said the same thing "this is what it should have been like stock".

I don't know if you're reading Coz, but thanks a whole lot for the support on the clutch and for suggesting the Southbend. If anyone needs a clutch, call Concept Z Performance; top notch people and excellent prices.

shumby 06-10-2010 01:48 PM

Sounds good RCZ. i'll look up on what you got on your site then make something up thatworks. Might have to wait until i get back to russia and got some time to do this. I know you don't hate me lol just picking

RCZ 06-10-2010 01:59 PM

No problem.

Stormcrow, your car is now up there. It's not just a Stillen wall anymore haha. I put you under one of the features if you don't mind.

jnaut 06-10-2010 05:14 PM

Since i am installing raul's sc, if he wants ill answer some question. The intake manifold's quality is top-notch also all the brackets. All of them fit perfect!! The sc is huge ,i am quite surprised to see this big of one on here. Sounds amazing, but not too much wine at idle but just off idle , you know it aint stock. The piping is not clear coated, justed polished. the kit is very complete, as i have not needed to get any extra parts, ie. hose clamps, zip ties, bolts, fittings etc... there is however lots of hoses, not due to their design, but nissan's breather system and of course their air/water ic.

travisjb 06-10-2010 08:45 PM
