The ones we sell are less than 2500 for the full y pipe and exhaust. Not much interest weigh 16 pounds but fast intentions is killing em.

I can get those too for that much (if they are the ones Im thinking of, same company), I like the ones with mufflers though and they are a bit more expensive.

Anyone know what the best way to find/buy an MT transmission would be? Any help appreciated.

wstar 07-17-2012 10:10 AM

A 6MT for a 370Z? The most economical route is probably to buy one from a wrecked car at a local junkyard and rehab it a bit. At least around here (I'd assume FL is similar to TX) local junkyards form a sort of network. You can go to a major one and tell them what you're looking for (a specific major piece), and they'll call around to the others in the area for you and sort out where you can find one.

Considering not selling the Z and turning it into a show car to promote my new business :)

Its been too long since I made something faster, getting the hunger again!

wstar 09-24-2012 05:21 PM

Just can't let the Z go can you? :)

RCZ 09-24-2012 05:28 PM

What can I say, its growing on me again haha. It just makes sense to use as a project. We'll see, definitely need a project car though, so ;)

Mr&Mrs 09-24-2012 06:34 PM

It would be nice to see you come back to moding the Z!

98intrigue 09-24-2012 07:43 PM

15 days left, huh? :)

RCZ 09-24-2012 11:06 PM

yeaaahhh, I dont think we're meeting that deadline haha. I was a bit overzealous with my estimate. We are going to be having a giveaway in october though, something nice like a gift card or something along those lines.

Anyone have any idea how much an LS2 swap would cost?

A ls2 swap would cost you over 10 k to do there are a few guys over on my350z.com that have done it . In my opinion might as well put a turbo kit on your car that's just me though

RCZ 10-05-2012 05:55 PM

Yeah, but why not a turbo LS2?

I wouldnt put a TT on my car unless the motor was built.

Calvin 10-08-2012 01:28 PM

curious, what size r888 are you running for the front?

RCZ 10-08-2012 03:35 PM

Never had R888s on the car.

lol for some reason i read somewhere thinking you had them sorry >_< my mistake! haha

RCZ 10-08-2012 04:27 PM

I was planning on it, but ended up with something a little more wear friendly, RE11's.

wstar 10-08-2012 05:15 PM

The custom work on any LSx swap will be pretty intense (mounts, trans upgrade as well?, dash/ecu/gauges all custom from scratch, etc). For a dedicated track car with a destroyed VQ that needs replacing, I could see doing it if you had the money and time. The big unknown additional cost is whether you'd need to replace the ABS controller as well (with a one-off race unit or something cheaper that's compatible with the LSx ECU?). Something tells me the stock ABS unit might have issues running on its own without the expected inputs from the Nissan ECU? A couple of people have linked custom race-oriented standalone ABS controllers that would work, but they were all in the $7,500++.

RCZ 10-08-2012 10:24 PM

Thanks for the info, I guess that's all why no one has wanted to do it before! I just think it would be a beast.

I'm leaning towards the building a stock block approach instead.

Hello everyone. I know I know, reviving an old thread. I still have my Z and just got new wheels with new TPMS.

Anyone know where I can get them reprogrammed or if I can do it myself?

Im in Miami.

For giggles, here's my car :)

sig11 07-31-2013 04:54 PM

Lookit them dusty front wheels. :)

hyunsoo1803 08-09-2013 11:55 PM

Do you happen to have a picture of your front end with the bumper off? I'm curious as per where you located your oil cooler and how you maximized air flow to your heat exchanger :)
