we aim to please :)
Surprisingly I get that a lot haha. |
Good review, Raul, thanks. You know I've gone down this path and I agree with everything you said... different mfgr, but same story... big improvement over stock in terms of feel... for really fast gear changes there is also a real benefit to the rapid accel/decel
Thanks Travis! How heavy is your clutch btw?
actually, not heavy at all... jwt

I got that... that's what what I meant... to me, the firmness / feel of the pedal with the JWT clutch is largely consistent with OEM... it sounds like yours turned out stiffer... you can take mine for a spin someday if we ever end up at the same track and judge for yourself
That would be fun. Thanks for the info Travis. Yeah a little stiffer, but still perfectly daily drivable.
after driving raul's car that is the clutch that will be going in mine, the prussure is perfect, quailty is good

stock csc, unfortunately, I heard it fails even after the fix. Seals cant handle it eh... Man... I really hope I dont have to get back into the clutch...

That being said ....... only time will tell. I'm going to wait for the metal CSC to be released just for the reason of the extra strength in the construction. From what I've seen in the pictures, it has great potential. |
As you said, time will tell. As of right now the clutch feels perfect and considering its aggressive, it is very smooth and the stiffness has eased up a lot. I'm curious to find a stock 370z to push the clutch on to see just how much of a difference there is now since I've probably forgotten what stock feels like already.
do you feel that the new clutch grabs more efficiently?
If by that you mean whether the feeling of on/off is more clear then absolutely.

Hey everyone,
So a while back I talked about how I was developing carbon stuff with a local company and that it was put on hold for a while because they were developing BMW 1 series stuff. Just wanted to give everyone a reason to wait for them to do the 370z.. They just recently released a full replacement trunk for the 1 series and are about to release a hood. Check out the quality and just how damn good this looks. I talked to them about doing a full spoiler in carbon that would be one piece, but would look like the stock sports package spoiler with the mine's add-on. It would lip up sort of like their trunk does, except it would be a separate piece. http://www.icarbondesign.com/iCarbon...k/DSC_0790.jpg http://www.icarbondesign.com/iCarbon...k/DSC_0793.jpg http://www.icarbondesign.com/iCarbon...k/DSC_0802.jpg What do you guys think? We'll be making a lot more than just a spoiler :) They will become vendors once we start working on the 370z. EDIT: I dug up a little more on the other stuff they did for the 1 series so far and found some pictures for you guys http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...31&postcount=1 Seems like they had some issues shipping stuff on time in the past, but are have now learned their lesson and will not advertise anything they don't have in stock and ready to go. I guess these things happen to young companies. |
Wow, that looks beautiful.
dang RCZ, it def does look beautiful. I was about to jump on-board with the Mines cf group buy, but if your suggesting a whole one piece spoiler then idk I might have to wait. What about the diffuser/any interior pieces in CF?

...oh and was the CF stuff for the BMW reasonably priced, trying to get an idea on how things will be priced for the 370Z. The diffuser is what im really interested in, and as long as it actually fits and is not like that EVO-R garbage(poor fitment), then im all in

When I talked to them originally, they said they would sell parts for reasonable prices and I will hold them to it. I'm gonna start getting on their case about it and see how soon we can get some prototypes. One thing I'd like to be clear about is that I am not affiliated with this company in any way. They are local to me and I can help them develop something for the 370z community. I will keep you guys updated, but I cannot guarantee anything! |
Damn RCZ, I am super :excited: to see what they come up with. I am ready to buy & from you this time, lol ;)
Yeah, I'm gonna make 100000% sure before they sell you anything that its flawless considering all the grief you've given Stillen about their roof wing fitment.
lol, You have no idea, I really appreciate the quality check, something "they" didnt seem to do. I have a sick idea that you should suggest to the ICarbon guys, "Carbon Fiber Steering wheel"
Hmm, no that wouldn't be viable. A while back, I made a little focus group with some members of the board and we discussed a lot of possibilities for aesthetically pleasing/ functional aero bits. Needless to say they will draw a lot from there...
^ wonder how much they could charge for a partial CF steering wheel, so there's a price comparison to be made against JDMrapage wheels...
looks like quality stuff there, i'd love to see some nice interior trim in CF  after all the functional aero bits of course, y'all can have your fun first. |
make a cf hood cuz the only company I know is seibon. Vis is coming out with one in a couple months but it will almost identical to the quality of seibon cuz they are basically the same company. Make a hood and Ill buy right now =]!
They sent me prototype pics of their hood in dry carbon and I flipped... Can't show you guys though. They will release it soon.

Doing networking & security work gives me time to mess around online for parts of my day, which is suppose to be "research." |
I really wanna see the wing while the mines group buy is going on, if yours looks better, I'll just go with yours. If not i'll go with the mines CF add-on. PM me a picture if you could, thanks RCZ
