RCZ 06-11-2010 10:51 AM

hahaha, only If I get to unhook your wastegates and drive your car ;)

stormcrow 06-11-2010 11:13 AM

Let's do it! More boost! :) Actually, the EVC 6 would shut it down once it hits 10psi. I can never do nothing!

LiquidZ 06-11-2010 11:32 AM

Boost brings the world together.

JB-370z 06-11-2010 02:55 PM

RCZ: Do you have headers on your car?

spearfish25 06-11-2010 06:28 PM

I'll be in South Florida in July for lobster mini-season (if the oil doesn't ruin it). I may have to take you to Chicken Kitchen in exchange for a ride in that beast :).

RCZ 06-11-2010 07:20 PM

LOL I went lobstering last year during the mini-season and it was amazing. Caught like 5-6 of them. Sounds good to me!

m4a1mustang 06-12-2010 07:47 AM

Nice raul :) any pics of the wing yet?

MightyBobo 06-12-2010 09:54 AM

I want to see a thought-provoking chair swap into the ride. Replace those bucket seats.

JB-370z 06-12-2010 10:39 AM

Hahaha this is Absolutely Hilarious!

RCZ 06-12-2010 10:55 AM

haha I know who OMGWTFBBQ is...

RCZ 06-13-2010 04:40 PM

People, one tip, think twice about removing your stock sports package spoiler... 11 screws and pop clips and several layers of double sided 3M as well as a ton of epoxy. I think you could lift the car by the rear spoiler and nothing would happen. So now I have to get some bodywork done on the trunk too.. everything is still on schedule, but i don't think the wing will be ready until later in the week.

I wish I had swapped trunks with someone who is wingless, but whatever, whats done is done and it should all be ready to go by later this week.

kevin.z 06-13-2010 06:19 PM

OMGLOLBBQ? or OMGWTFBBQ? I think they r different people lol

I'm with you... removing the epoxy in particular is a bear, even with a heat gun... and the spoiler itself is fragile - mine broke on removal thx to the epoxy

BTW, need more pics!!! :)

makes me wonder if you can run a dual wing thing, leave the lip spoiler on and just mount a raised spoiler above that. anyone know if that would work?

travisjb 06-13-2010 10:58 PM

I think I've seen that somewhere... one of the Japanese tuners has a kit that has that, but can't remember which... not my thing

RCZ 06-15-2010 08:21 PM

Very dumb, non supercharger related issues pushed tuning day till thursday. As of right now the car is perfect, problems are fixed... it just needs a tune.

Wing looks pretty damn good :) Can't wait to show you guys....

WShade 06-15-2010 09:15 PM

Well.... show us ;)

SeeyaBud86 06-16-2010 12:14 PM

Yea I'm really curious as to how the Nismo wing will look on the stock bumper. I was going to get that and I asked for a photoshop, but no one did it.

m4a1mustang 06-16-2010 12:27 PM

Pics!!!

Ricochet48 06-16-2010 01:22 PM

Didn't you recently tell me to "gtfo" from another thread? :shakes head:

JB-370z 06-16-2010 08:41 PM

Sho did.
Edit: It still does not change the fact that we share a common interest and that I want to see more of this build. I will try not to be soo hard on ya anymore. When my thread goes up with my turbo build in a few weeks you can be the critic you are.

travisjb 06-17-2010 09:10 AM

"you can be the critic you are"...

yeah, that's trying real hard, lol

SkyZ 06-17-2010 02:37 PM

hehe alright boys and girls lets all get along now =].

Exactly, saw that and decided to just not answer...

Anyway, Just got home from getting the SC tuned.

Keep in mind my baseline on this dyno with cool weather was 256whp....

Today, in 100F degree temps and with one small fan in front of the car...383whp. A modest gain of 127whp on a mustang dyno! In other words... about 430whp on a Dynojet like the one Stillen has. Easily 400/450whp with more airflow and cooler temperatures.

Stillen's claims for WHP gains are SPOT ON. No shenanigans here.

Oh yeah, peak boost with Stillen Headers and HFC's....8PSI, perfect, no pressure drop.

As far as the way it drives.....well I forgot it was there on the drive back. No noise, nothing really changes on the highway. Exhaust did get a good bit louder which is also exactly what I wanted. The closest thing I can think of as far as the sound it makes is a Gallardo, this thing is brutal.

Temperatures hovered at 200 degrees the entire ride back and actually went down when I want into the city, which was odd, but now that I think about it...that water pump is still pumping so it makes sense. When I got on it (~145mph and scary how quickly it got up there and how hard it was still pulling) it climbed up to around 215 degrees haha. After an hour of driving back at high speed and then doing some 2nd gear pulls in the city I parked it and popped the hood to check if anything had melted. Everything is perfect. Then I made the stupid decision to touch the intake pipe. ow..yeah, wont be doing that again, but then I touched the manifold down around the runners...felt like I'd been idling for an hour, relatively cool... I don't know what to say? Call me a fanboi, but when things work this well the first time out on their first kit, then I gotta put my humble hat on and say that is very very impressive.

I am very pleased with the kit and with Stillen's support throughout the build. I had one part come with a small scratch (probably from shipping) and when I told Josh, he had a new one overnighted to me that same day. Other than that....there were absolutely no problems with installation. I'll let Jnaut speak for himself as far as how easy it was to install, but he was impressed with the kit as well. No missing parts, no parts that didn't fit.

I leave you all with a teaser shot until later...more feedback coming.
