Do you mean that the KW is good or bad?? |
The KW's are my favorite and are considered by many to be top quality and performance.
|
Thanks, ill probably switch to the KW's
|
You're welcome.
I have a little update for everyone now that the car is finally dialed in. Went to get an alignment to find out that almost every setting I had before was off. I guess its not OK to go drifting in the rain if you want to keep your alignment intact. I went with this setup: Front: -2.2 Camber 5.6 Caster (locked by the SPL camber arms) .02 Toe Rear -2 Camber .06 Toe Result is a car that turns in smoothly and has loads of mechanical grip in corners. The straight line acceleration has suffered a bit with the rear camber, but its not an issue unless you are being silly. It is definitely a little more tail happy than it was before, but I like that, a lot. Overall its a smooth setup, hopefully I will be going on track again soon to test it out. I think the package will be complete with some Stillen Swaybars and a couple ticks stiffer on the suspension. I am still getting a tiny bit of body roll, but that's whats keeping the car comfortable on daily driving so I can deal with it for now. |
tight setup! curious to see if it is too twitchy at the track... i'm running a longer caster angle and more neutral toe settings right now and digging the stability in high speed turns

How good is the Quaife Differential against the OS Giken Diff??

^ you try to steal enough of my things so I'm gonna go ahead and not tell you where it is :)
I will keep everyone posted, best case scenario I leave a lot of pieces there for molding on Monday. Depending on what we figure out, maybe some pics of fresh carbon by week's end. |

Keps us posted RCZ.
When Are you going back to Homestead? Could you give me some pointers/website/info of where I would need to go in order to register for a track day... Never been to a car track day, but would love to try it out. |

Yeah, check out the different clubs down here. I love doing FARA and Hooked on driving. (hookedondriving.com) check it out and see when the next trackday is. I have credit for a trackday so I could probably go on the next one. I'll let you know next time im going.. |
LOL!! nice one. i'll do some snooping to see which deals i can pull out from underneath u haha. theres on offer for a "custom tt", but i am not quite sure.
|
hehe
Anyway, sorry guys, meeting postponed till wednesday. I'll keep you all updated |
-rep for blue balls. :icon23:

I know I know, I wanted to do it earlier but thats life.
Any Nismo owners in Miami? |
Osiris dyno tune scheduled for Saturday. Will let u guys know what the results are.
|
So glad to see everyone getting tuning done now. :D
|
Just, just gotta make more power than semtex and I'll be happy :)
Who has the highest HP NA 370z on the boards?? |
I think it is between you, RCZ, Wstar (but the auto hurts him by a couple), beyond that most people either just have exhaust/intake or exhaust/HFC. Also, with the colder weather I am sure people might see a nice "increase" in WHP.
|
you mean, me, semtex and wstar right?
|
Yeah, did not realize the journal I was in. :owned:
Though wstar has moved onto Fast Intentions exhaust so that will be another variable in results. |
Hey everyone, decided to put up a quickie from my tune the other day. I think a couple of the pulls go to 8,000RPM. Quality should be HD, but youtube is taking a while to process the video. Its a shame though, it was a 700mb 3 minute file. Looks great in HD ;)

If I had anything else to spend it on to make power! Im out of bolt on's, Tuning doesnt work! I mean I can slap that pulley on and make 2 more HP... Oh I know what I'll do... I'll wait for a cold cold dry night and schedule dyno time at 3AM when the night is at its peak HP making potential...I'll get you semtex, I'll get you!!! hahaha
No but seriously...Im out of power adders on an NA setup. EDIT: NOS here I come. EDIT 2: ^ Not happening. |

lol! do it!! i will if u will. but not really
|
heh, Im not touching NOS first. When eliminator starts doing it, I'll see how it goes.

RCZ, did you raise the rev limiter to 8,000 revs....I was just wondering how it feels and sounds cause my Z just loves to rev. With the new intakes, exhaust, cats, headers and whatever else plus the flywheel and arias pistons, the Z just wants more power. Man, it feels like an R8. The low end torque is ballistic, it just takes away (thanks to the flywheel) and the great part is with the tuning, the Z's top end sounds and feels so exciting. I would recommend the JWT flywheel and clutch to anyone. Great combination with the transmission and engine. Anyway, my point is the Z really feels like it could hit 8,000, but I really don't want the engine to be over worked. My engine feels stronger, but I need a personal opinion.....
REV REV REV............. |
My limit is at 8,150RPM actually. Yeah its nice, but the only bad part is that you have to be a lot more careful about banging the limiter on those burnouts and power slides. I think I'm going to use my stock tune to drive around during "normal" hours.
|
Cool, I probably will raise it to 8,000 revs at most!! Can't wait to hear the engine roar at the redline.... Thanks for the help
|
RCZ, how does your steering feel different after the modifications?? I think the suspension, camber kits, and the unsprung mass reduction really helped as well as lower weight itself....
|
well it feels very very heavy with my current alignment settings. I like it because its smooth and predictable. Turn in is so crisp, I love it.
|
Little update:
I have 20mm rear spacers, 15mm front spacers, hotchkis swaybars and a stillen pulley to install. All should be on by next week. I ordered Stock size Nitto NT05's to replace my RE050As, should be here in a few days. Pictures / videos coming of everything. |
