This is my fear about running the stub axle vrs CV. (I believe this one broke under load getting bounced over the apex berm.)

I've seen some CV's blown apart too.

I changed the front axles on my Power Wagon front u-joint to Indy style CV's. The axles came from RCV. $2,600 both front axles.
1st pic you can see the u-joint. The 2nd pic is the CV joint.
