For those interested, here's a summary and some videos of my HPDE this weekend. Had an awesome time, definitely worth a try if you haven't done one already

Hey Cody & Ron thanks for the input in regards to the hiss/whistle im getting.. I swapped out the gaskets (most of them; I have to order the bigger one, that looks like a butterfly). I guess having the hiss, is just the way it is.

Steve the car looks great!

eff that, I told the dealer when I bought my car if the try to deliver with a dealer badge on, the car is going str8 back to them. You want to work out a deal where you pay me to advertise for you fine. I don't understand why any dealer would do this to the nicer cars in the first place.

Like I said, it will come off in time. But for now it serves a purpose.

Or as I like to say, serves a porpoise.

6MT guys... does your clutch pedal (the pedal assembly itself) *click* near the top of travel? I just noticed it starting today. Push the pedal in ~1" and then *click.* It almost feels like something near the hinge is loose. I'll have to check it out later, but I definitely don't remember a pedal click with my 2009. I think it just started this morning.

I have not noticed one in mine, or I've become used to it and don't notice it anymore. :icon17:

I'll check this afternoon and get back to you.

I told Criswell straight up not to drill holes in my bumper for a license plate bracket and not to put any dealership badging anywhere on the car and they didn't give me any static.

That said, I went in there the other day and they had a '13 GT-R BE sitting there with a big old Criswell badge on it and I died a little inside.

So this sounds a whole lot like the behavior I experienced before the CSC in my car went.

Definitely check your clutch fluid.

m4a1mustang 04-29-2013 09:11 AM

If you knew The Panda you wouldn't mind having him on your azz.

Hard to believe it would be related to the clutch itself as the noise is coming from somewhere in the pedal assembly, but I'll have a look regardless. Feels like something is binding up at the pivot point.

Via search it seems like some members have had the assy replaced due to the clicking.

Now it's time to play "guess the estimate":

Cost of repairing paint damage after being sprayed by dump truck full of gravel?

Sales@AAMComp 04-29-2013 02:05 PM

were you tailgating the dump truck or something?

ouch...:ugh2:

dmhenderson 04-29-2013 02:10 PM

This was coming back from PA last week which works ok for me since they're gonna have to cut holes in the front bumper anyway.

I'd get it fixed, then get the clear bra installed.

dmhenderson 04-29-2013 02:33 PM

I want to see this spray on stuff in action.

Shop tells me there were two windshield chips and rock strikes to:
F bumper
DS F fender
DS door
PS door
Roof
Hood
R bumper

Screw you jerkhole dump truck driver

damn... geez.

dmhenderson 04-29-2013 03:16 PM

I literally got showered with gravel at ~80mph or so. Clearbra would not have saved me.

dmhenderson 04-29-2013 04:34 PM

Well 90% of the car will be freshly painted so there's that. Plus saves me some of the cost on getting the RC ducts installed. Silver lining I guess.

im selling my clazzio seat covers. i figured i would let you guys know first and see if anyone wants them before i make a for sale thread.. they are all black with red stitching.. ill post some pics when i stop feeling lazy.. they are only 2 weeks old.. the passanger side one got sent to me with a small tear in the stitching about 1 inch long.. i fixed it and again ill post pics later. let me know if anyone is interested.. if not ill just make a for sale thread.. price ill do $270. they costed me $370 i figured because the small tear in the passanger stitching ill take a loss on them..

MightyBobo 04-29-2013 06:00 PM

Only if they are made of Corinthian leather...

dmhenderson 04-29-2013 06:00 PM

Out of curiosity (other than the tear), what made you decide to sell?

i want to buy touring seats, also i wasnt thrilled with the fitment. dont get me wrong they are by far the best seat covers out there. but i think the ones from katskin that actualy replace the fabric instead of just covering it look a lot more like factory. but the katskin ones are about $1000. so for the price they are worth it.. im just a little to picky on how i like things to fit..

dmhenderson 04-29-2013 06:09 PM

Anyone know how I can check the nissan parts catalog for 2014? Couple things I want but I dunno how to check it.

I know my body shop can somehow.

I found this:
http://parts.nissanusa.com/nissanpar...intvehid=17615

but not sure if that's up to date.

here are some pics.. i took a close up of the seam that i fixed. also there is a small tear where it goes over the head rest nubs. this happened when i was taking them off the seat.. the tear is also on the passanger side one. so to recap small tear in the side bolster stitching that is fixed.. and another small tear in the fabric that goes over the nub for the headrest. both are on the passanger side seat cover.. the tear that goes over the nub cannot bee seen when its fitted to the seat. the nub hides the tear because it tucks under it..

eastwest2300 04-29-2013 06:20 PM

I like the seat covers but im just like you, I want the genuine setup.. hell if I could get my hands on the leather, i'd do the swap myself, it'll be my 3rd doing an upholstery job.. even though redoing seats sucks azz.

:iagree: it needs to fit like factory for me to be happy with it.. iv done a ton of the katskin leather seats and their fitment is awesome. nice and tight fitment.. im gonna try to buy some touring seats and if i cant find some at a good price ill just buy the katskin ones and do it..
