The Sheldon character is basically a white Steve Urkel.

If you call them, ask for Brian, as he is a track guy and has good recommendations. They have a lot of helmets in stock and you can try them on there to see if they fit your monstrous :tiphat: head. Hey, if they can fit my mellon, they can fit anyones! They have closeouts on SA 2005 helmets, as they will only be useable at formal events (HPDE etc) until 2015. They also have a wide selection of SA 2010 helmets in stock. Those will be good through 2020, so if you are going to track day events for a while, it could be worth it.

Good luck.

Longer, in reality. SA10 didnt even hit the shelves until early/mid 2012, so it should be good until 2022 or so. This is the norm, generally - my SA00 was usable in 2011.

I seem to remember something along those lines, but I figured that the 10 year rule is a good baseline. I stand corrected. :icon14: But the OG Racing shop is still a good spot to check out good racing gear in person before purchasing.

Have you ever thought why your head is not as big as mine ? Big head always come in reasons as why it's getting so big :ugh2: :wtf:
1. Smoke cigarette when you are only 16 years of age.
2. Smoke more things than the usual cigarette.
3. All day dreaming about sex.
4. Stress at work that makes you want to smoke more than the usual ones.
5. Dee's :facepalm: :icon23::icon23::icon23:

That's the first thing I thought of, but Chris is much too young to be referencing that.

Yes, but I also learned just this weekend that he doesn't know who Steve McQueen is.

His body of film knowledge has some rather large holes.

The "Alpha-Beta" thing. Chris threw it out there, I have no idea what he meant by it, but the first thing I heard in my head was that cheer from the sorority girls in "Revenge of the Nerds": Ooh, ahh, Alpha Beta." When Mark commented that he thought of that, I felt validated. But I'm not sure that's what Chris meant. We would just have to ask him.

I meant Chris not knowing who Steve McQueen was.

dmhenderson 04-16-2013 08:52 PM

The only good thing about that show is the hot destitute blonde who apparently works at a fast food place but can afford a massive apartment in downtown LA or wherever they are.

shadoquad 04-16-2013 08:52 PM

Without McQueen, "Bullit" would be "Pellet", "The Great Escape" would be "The Good Escape", "The Magnificent Seven" would be "The OK Six"

It's either Revenge of the Nerds or a douchy PUA-speak insult and I don't think that sounds much like Chris so I'm gonna go with Revenge of the Nerds.

(show about nerds, revenge of the nerds...makes sense)

dmhenderson 04-16-2013 08:58 PM

Oh and in case you're not aware of PUA, please allow me to introduce you to the douchiest (douchy-est?) community on the internet and that's saying a lot considering the proliferation of furries and /b/:

PUA Lingo | Pick Up Artist Encyclopedia

Sorry for the derail but I was just made aware of these people and they're really hilarious, stomach turning and fascinating at the same time.

This is the first time that this thread has been derailed...

That I can remember...

Eh minor update. I've been pretty absent from here lately. Lots going on right now haha.

Any who
Sold my exhaust to Italy here on the forum.
Ordered materials for the up pipe from the exhaust manifolds, 7 v bands, and materials for down pipe. Project is moving forward.

Waiting for this other turbo to sell and headers to find a home and I'll have exhaust, intercooler piping, and oil cooler purchased.

XwChriswX 04-16-2013 11:59 PM

1. Yes, I meant Revenge of the Nerds.

2. No, I did not know who Steve McQueen is from a picture of "him" on a motorcycle in black/white from a time period before me. I'm not into motorcycles, so that aspect doesn't interest me. I'm not into muscle cars so that aspect doesn't interest me. I'm not from that time period so I've never seen any of those movies. Just like all the other movies that everyone is just "supposed" to have seen, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, etc, I have not seen.

Shoot me.

3. If you need/want to reach me, please do so through other means instead of here.

I was just giving you sh*t. McQueen is a bit of an icon, though. He was a great actor and played in some huge hit movies. But he was also renowned for his style. Oh, and he was a major gearhead. He also participated in motorsport, being one of the drivers who won the 1970 12 hours of Sebring.

It's not something that everybody knows, especially today, but the guy was awesome sauce.
