The drive in was actually nice. We drove through lots of flooded areas but had nice weather the whole way.

Glad to hear it cooperated with you. That is a pretty drive.

Definitely a lot more cars last year.

Hey guys have any of you seen modded stock air boxes on our cars? I was thinking about chopping the boxes off of the stock air boxes and making a fitting for a cone filter? It should flow a lot better that way.

I'm sure it'd flow better, but you'd still get heat soak, likely.

Yep, JWT Pop Chargers.

Who wants in on Ecutek tunes? Will do comparisons on a dyno vs uprev. I or PizzamanGTR will have a thread up soon for this. If you guys want better and safer power now is the chance to get it early. I can tell you I have seen over lays of this killing an uprev tune.

I'd be interested in it, as it might help with the LTH's. Where are you doing the tuning at?

We need you to swing by the pizza shop ASAP to pull your rom to verify support. Once Visconti has enough they will make the trip down here...

Well I have UpRev right now, so what's the cost going to be to convert?

And where are they doing the tuning...? R/T?

No Visconti is coming down and we have a local dyno 5 min from the shop. RT was going to do it but they don't etune and Visconti does. They have insane rep for GTR etunes.

And im not sure on the actual numbers yet. It wont be too bad.
But taken from the tuning thread they posted

This software will not be the cheapest option on the market but will offer more support and a lot more advanced features in the months to come.

EcuTek's ProECU Programming Kit w/ License is $600.

The kit contains a USB OBD2 Cable, EcuTek software that has advanced diagnostic features and Nissan Tools.

I'll be offering ETunes for non-forced induction cars for $350

The one car they did had a huge difference over uprev without touching VVT and VVEl.

I would release numbers and Dynos if I was allowed to.

1. So the tune won't be done on a Dyno? That doesn't make me feel too good as my car is "tempermental" to say the least. :icon17: I'd like that tool to be included. :ugh2:

2. So there will be no difference in price over UpRev? That's kind of a moot point as it only benefits those having Not already been tuned. No discounted price as a gimmick to attract and convert those that already have UpRev?

3. I've seen other shops that do great work for GT-R's, (because it makes them more money) but their Z support is not the same... :ugh2:

Not trying to hate br0, cause you have my interest, these are just my concerns right now...

Can you PM them to keep them private?

I'm interested, but I have no idea where the "pizza shop" is. :icon14:
Sorry for my ignorance! I have done few mods to my Z. I have Jim Wolfe Pop chargers, but stock everything else... Will it be worth my while, or should I wait until I get an exhaust to do the tune?

It's up here in PA, not worth the drive for you yet Z.

I would say save your money and buy an exhaust first before a tune. It would help you yes, but you will get more for your money after you've done all the performance mods you want to do first, then tune.

1. This tune will clearly be done on a Dyno...Hence the reason I said we would be dynoing?lol and Etune can do everything a dyno tune can except you don't have to drive anywhere to dyno. I only say no to that for FI cars.

2. Like I said that was the publicly listed price for the forum. Not for any of this early on testing stuff. Prices may vary depending on interest.

3. Visconti will put just as much work and dedication into the platform. Trust me these guys aren't a joke.

4. No I cannot pm you those Dynos. Not until I get it approved by them. Mostly because they are still working with VVEL and VVT and want to really blow Uprev away.

1. Ok, so like I said, Where is the dyno tuning being done? :icon17: Will they bring a mobile dyno, cause that would be fun for a parking lot meet.

2. But there's going to be no credit for an UpRev person to crossover correct? So you're essentially going to be paying for 2 tunes...

3. Ok, they're the ones doing your FI tune too right? Or just your NA?

4. How about a rough ballpark figure? +10hp, +25hp, +50 hp?? :bowrofl: :stirthepot: :p

And that right there is why etunes are great .

Oh man I just changed a part out. You data log and email the tuner the file, they make changes and email it back and your done. No travel, no huge scheduling wait.

Go check the other thread. Moar details in there.

And I'm sure they will make sormthing happen for uprev crossovers I just don't know what though. And yes they will be doing my FI and NA tune.

And at least +10 over uprev throughout entire power band with no vvt or vvel

That would be awesome, except like I said my car is "special" to say the least. :icon17: And I don't mean the good special. :shakes head:

It's really annoying when everyone else's work goes so smoothly and does what they want, and yours never does haha.

I just wanna see the numbers, and preferrably a comparable car with the same mods as what I have done..

If that makes any sense.. thanks cody for sturring up this interest.

I cant give you specifics but same car, same dyno, same day, same tuner saw over +10whp and tq over uprev...before VVEL and VVT. So expect more.

May want to get a new tune some day and I am FI the benifits for SC and VVEL are big...

They sure are. Were really hoping for big numbers with vvel vvt and e85. Visconti tuned a 100% stock BRZ with just E85 and squeezed 35rwhp out of it with ecutek...
