I think it is.

The ZL6 clearly had an exhaust on it but everything upstream from the exhaust had to be gone. From across the street it was enough to make pretty much everyone on the sidewalk uncomfortable. The guy was revving it and being a **** too because why not I guess. It was pretty though.

The Tesla I saw was black with chrome trim and nothing aftermarket-y on it.

Ok, couldn't take it anymore...I assume you mean ZL1?

I also did my first (and likely last) burnout in the gym parking lot today because a cop that I work out with who drives a lightning asked me to.

It made a really nasty smell and there are huge scorch marks that will probably last a while.

Now I probably need new tires.

It was easier than I thought it'd be. I dropped the clutch in at like 2000 RPM and just jammed it. Rear end got loose and wiggled around a little bit and then it jumped forward. I was secretly pleased.

It's okay, you didn't hurt your baby doing that lol Just prolly lost a couple thousand miles off the rears.

And the transmission... not good.

Ok, after picking on Chris about movies, I feel like I have to make a sacrifice to make things right. So...

...I have never been able to sit through Nosferatu or Citizen Kane. In fact, I haven't even tried. I know it's blasphemy, but I just couldn't care too much less about those movies.

:icon17:

It's okay, I can keep going...

I haven't seen:

A Clockwork Orange
16 Candles
Pretty In Pink
any of the other 80's teen movies, although I did recently watch the breakfast club, but it was pretty boring. Especially after watching "Not Another Teen Movie" which recreated the whole movie in one scene, and did it better. :bowrofl:

b1adesofcha0s 04-17-2013 08:19 PM

I don't think I've seen any of the movies you guys are talking about. I did just watch The Godfather like a week or two ago.

I'm not gonna give you flak, but I would recommend you watch "A Clockwork Orange." Kubrick's style is very interesting, and it's a good story. Before you watch it, though, I would recommend you read the novel by Anthony Burgess, and get an edition that has the final chapter in it - apparently, it was removed for the American market, and it completely changes the mood of the story.

It's an age thing, to some degree. I've got damn near 10 years on Chris, and a good bit more than that on you, I think. Many of those movies I remember from when they were new.

Ah, there's another one, haven't seen any of those 3. But I have seen Mafia, and it's hilarious.

I like the first 30 mins of Full Metal Jacket, the rest of the movie is worthless. But yeah, I'm not the read the book, then watch the movie sort. That's what I watch the movie for! :icon17:

It's fine, I grant that most people have seen more movies from that time period than me. But I bet I have at least 50 movies in my collection that you havent seen either. So it's a balanced boat. ;)

b1adesofcha0s 04-17-2013 08:30 PM

Yeah they're all before my time. I grew up in the 90's and didn't even watch that many movies then. I don't really even have time now to watch many movies. I usually only watch new movies in theaters now and their prequels before the new one. Want to watch all the F&F movies again before the new one comes out.....which actually wouldn't be a bad idea for a MAZOC meet(s).

:tiphat: I'm sure you do. I am woefully deficient on my knowledge of pop culture film and music. I don't even know what I've missed, so I cant make fun of myself for it. :p

That actually wouldn't be a bad idea... make a weekend out of it. Find somewhere we can all chill at Fri or Sat night and do an all nighter, then do F6 the next day.

Well I don't know about an all nighter, but maybe we can spread it out over one or multiple weekends. Of course it's only possible if someone is nice enough to let us watch it at their house. I know I'm gonna watch it with my cousins the first Friday night it comes out so that probably wouldn't be an option for me. I don't mind watching it for a 2nd time with MAZOC though.

It's not the same when you're not a virgin anymore... :shakes head:

b1adesofcha0s 04-17-2013 08:43 PM

I'm not risking a repeat of the MAZOC Fast Five meet. Besides, I think my cousins will be watching it anyway and I'm too excited to wait an extra day for it.

Alex is creepy, but that's part of his appeal. It's so deeply entrenched in pop sub-culture that The Simpsons featured Bart dressed as Alex for Halloween one year.
