Absolutely true. And the internet is loaded with videos and audios of police abuse of people legally carrying firearms.

The old "disorderly conduct" or "disturbing the peace" charges are always a last-ditch option for cops and prosecutors who find out that they can't charge or prosecute for a firearms violation.

And that's assuming that you don't get shot instead. The sad truth is that most people carrying firearms are in more danger of getting shot/killed by the police than by the criminals they are arming themselves against.
