VA passed a law a number of years ago that said localities cannot supersede state law. If it wasn't for this law most of the counties and cities in Northern VA would outlaw guns all together. Very anti-gun up here.

they can't directly outlaw guns, as it would violate the constitution.. but I know what you mean... kinda like Chicago

I think a lot of southern virginia would have laws too. It is surprising how anti-gun most of the state is with how liberal the laws are. I think we have the most liberal gun laws of any southern state.
