They should of thrown in the AK as well. It would of been nice to know how it would of done against the AR's.

The family!
Ok here is my small collections of guns. The sks i had since i was about 18yrs old and the AR is new and the AR style .22LR is about 5 months old and the pistols are about 3 months old. I had a browning Hi-power, but it was stolen about 3 or 4yrs ago. I got that when i was about 21yrs old. I miss it.
I really want an AK for my next rifle. But the arsenal AK's are way over priced, the century is crap or unless you get lucky and get a decent one. Building my own i can't cause well i don't have tools and wouldn't know how to begin. Getting parts would be a mish mash of god knows what and quality you would get. And i wouldn't know how well it would stack up against an Arsenal build. Well that's my dilemma on my Ak issue. =( http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...unfamily-1.jpg I also noticed that the barrel thickness between my XDm and the glock. I wonder if that makes any difference in durability. The little crap on the side of the barrel of my XDm is probably froglube. http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i2...lockbarrel.jpg |

Glocks are known to be pretty well built. I know a lot of bomb squad deputies that have run hundreds of rounds of the surplus POF 9mm submachine gun ammo through their Glocks. No barrel problems, no slide cracking. |

I'm going to see if I can make it out to the range sometime this weekend to show my AR some love. :yum:

A little, pleasant suprise!
I ordered two extra mags for my H&K P2000SK from HKParts.net expecting to get the flat-bottomed ones that came with it. I was pleasantly suprised that they turned out to be the ones with the extended floor plate. Now I have two of each type. I will probably use the flat floor plate for when I am carrying as they "print" better (I just learned that term :) ). Oh, they sent me a cool H&K sticker!

Hold off on buying pmags...
Magpul just announced their Pmag M3, an improved version of the Pmag, as well as some additional accessories. I'd wait until they're released, and some user feedback has come in before buying any significant quantities of current-version Pmags.
OR....perhaps this spring will be a great time to pick up the older version pmags in large quantities for low prices, new or used. PMAG MAGAZINES - PMAG 30 M3, 5.56x45 Magazine – AR15/M16 http://SSEquine.net/pmagm3.jpg |

There is a bonus with this gun that I didn't think of when I bought it; since it is 9mm a couple of my female friends love shooting it over the larger (in both size and caliber) USPs. One of my friends wanted to buy a .22 pistol because she thought anything larger was too much for her. After shooting the P2000SK she decided to go with 9mm. Not that there is anything wrong with a .22, I just think she has a lot more choices in personal protection ammo with a 9mm. |
Here's a question for some open opinions...
I'm in the market for a new shotgun to shoot trap or sporting clays with. The pump I've been using isn't really made for it and it has trouble ejecting the lighter sporting shells Budget around 1000. +- couple hundred I know a over/under is nice but probably out of my price range Something pretty light and mobile. Any suggestions? I've shot a benelli nova-ok but not a fan I don't want a generic 870 like everyone else. |

They're top notch when it comes to hunting shotguns. Spend some time checking them out. Beretta USA

My buddy shoots sporting clays with extraordinary success using his Benelli M4. A little out of the price envelope described, but that is a very fine shotgun.
http://SSEquine.net/benellim4.jpg +1 on the Beretta, by the way. Also excellent. / |

I kind of want to get a Glock 19 so I can stay with a "system," but Glocks are boring and I'd rather have the P2000SK. I need to hold off though because I've got a bunch of stuff to buy for the 5.0 in the coming months... maybe later in the year. I really want one. So nice... |
Thought about it some more and I also want a Ruger GP100 4" and a Bersa Thunder 380 :icon17:
|
Thought about it even more and I also want a Kahr CM9 and Ruger LCP.

That is the great thing about ARs; you can spend $200-300 at a time and end up with a ultra high end weapon after a year. As far as revolvers go, Rugers are by far and away my favorite. I have 4" GP100 .357 and don't feel the need to get any other revolver...maybe one in black or possibly a SP101? |

I just spent maybe $1200 at once on my AR and think I ended up with a high-end setup. All I need is an optic and I'm set. BCM :happydance:
It isn't a beer can opener, though. :( |

I am going back and forth between a Trijicon RMR, Reflex and Aimpoint of some sort. RMR is probably going to win. |
In fact, I did just order the Ace Tactical Bottle Opener for my Picante rail. Can't wait to get it out to the Sheriff's range.

I don't know if it will be announced at SHOT or not, but Magpul will be introducing a couple of items of interest, beyond the new Pmags.
Image of their new 40-round Pmag, as well as a rubberized MOE forearm grip similar to the overmolded rubberized MOE pistol grip they announced a couple of months ago (as also seen in this picture). I have that pistol grip...it's excellent (althougth only available in black so far). http://www.pbase.com/hmac/image/140954743.jpg |
