I have no regrets. I was able to find mine on a local forum and got a pretty good deal on it. (MSRP is roughly $1400... I got mine for under a grand)

I carry a P229 in 357 SIG, plus I have the extra barrel to convert it to 40. No suppressor tho....

It's way too big for CC but my 9mm Walther P-4 (based on P-38) has been very reliable on the range for me. I've shot over 1500 rounds through it without any problems. Easy to break down, clean, re-assemble. I don't think it's in production any longer but they made a LOT of them for police/military use so you should be able to find a used one in great shape.

Walther is a solid company. I carry a P99. If I wanted to go thinner, there's always the PPS. Good, reliable pieces all around. I may have to pick up a P4 at some point... just haven't seen any around here lately.

I bought my dad a WWII P38 several years back and it still shoots great. We had it out on Father's day and he made short work of the X ring with it.

A friend of mine gave it to me 20 years ago and I've just always held onto it. I figured it might make a good prop one day.
