I stock up at the gun shows. I bought most of my ammo before he prices got out of sight stupid.

i have no reason to take ammo out of walmart, but plenty of reasons to take it in.

KillerBee370 02-24-2011 07:14 AM

cheaperthandirt.com or surlpusammo.com

They are equally priced and ctd is usually out of stock on certain things because of it's popularity so I usually just order bulk through sa.

BVAC S&W.40 cal FMJ 180 grain in the 500 round box costs me $112.00 and I usually order a thousand rounds a pop.

KillerBee370 02-24-2011 07:17 AM

Speaking of guns I just got my new Glock 22 RTF. with 3, 15 round mags & the Glock night sights. Will post pics in a bit.

What's wrong with ammo from walmart? It's not like you don't buy everything else there. The sell the same winchester or remington stuff you get from anywhere else.

m4a1mustang 02-24-2011 08:24 AM

They are the only box store I can think of locally that carries it anyways. I need some like right meow so I will probably stop there tonight to grab a box or two of whatever they have.

Walmart is the best place to buy ammo if they have what you want. They sell a lot of it at their cost, which winds up being a lot cheaper than anyplace else can sell for.

So I stopped at Walmart last night and picked up some Federal 9mm range ammo. $10.97 a box, I think. Good deal.

I wasn't saying anything is wrong with wal mart ammo, I was saying there is something wrong with people who make good money shopping at walmart :stirthepot:

I had my CCW course yesterday. Best shot of the class with my glock 40.

I don't mind spending a little more so I'm not supporting companies that mistreat their employees and run down neighborhoods. Just me though.

I agree with the second part, but wal-mart does good things for a lot of people that wouldn't have jobs otherwise.

I think walmart has its place in society. For example, I think Walmart is great for a couple trying to live off of minimum wage. I wouldn't want one in my neighborhood though.

m4a1mustang 02-27-2011 12:35 PM

Yeah, WalMart does have a purpose. For me, it's picking up ammo at essentially cost. Otherwise I prefer to shop at Target.

+1! I use WalMart for Ammo, dog food & cleaning supplies. That's it. However when I was a young enlisted USAF member & married, WalMart is what we could afford. As you progress in life you get to have the nicer things.

Man, all the hot MILFs and chicks shop at the Target by my house. I always volunteer to go shopping there. :yum:

Target is just about unbeatable for that.

tvfreakazoid 02-28-2011 03:23 PM

Trader joes has good cheap products.
I do shop at walmart here and there. If you really look at some of the items there and compare it to other places, there is not much difference. Some people think it's walmart and it's cheap but depending what you buy there, the price is only a few cents difference. But they do have some cheaper stuff compared to to other grocery stores.

But i do agree with guys. For them to keep costs down they have to mistreat their employees. If they had a union or treated their employees better then they have to make up that cost. How are they going to do that you ask??? Oh wait, by raising the cost of there items.

If your smart shopper, using coupons and what not and looking for sale items then you can save a lot by shopping at regular grocery stores. I mean if you really look at what type of people shop at walmart you can say most or not smart shoppers. Compare the workers and customers to places like people shopping at regular grocery stores or whole foods (a little pricey) and you can see a huge difference. NOT all people but some.

So, i really want an XDm 45 cal. But damn cali doesn't all allow xdm only the XD's. There is a way to get the xdm's legally here in cali but you have to got through a lot of hurdles. Plus i don't have any family (mom or dad) living out side of cali.
I really need a pistol to replace my stolen 9 back a few years ago. :icon14:

My buddy was looking for a defense handgun, and called me up to see what I knew about the taurus judge (which is weird, because I don't know anything about guns. But I guess he figured since I own one, I at least know more than he does). Being the friend I am, I did some internet research. Came across this site, it was great:

The Box O' Truth #41 - The Taurus Judge Vs. The Box O' Truth - Page 1

I'm posting that because the judge seems to be a trendy gun for defense (based on what I was reading), and it seems to be a terrible gun for this purpose.

dad 03-05-2011 07:52 PM

.45 Colt is ok, but forget using a .410.

(Edit)>I just turned the page, it shoots slugs?

m4a1mustang 03-05-2011 08:32 PM

Me, bladesofchaos, and hazazzi rented a HK P2000 at the range today.... What a sweet gun!

Yeah, but if you're buying it just to shoot slugs, there are probably 100 other guns that would be better, right?

I almost bought this model HK, the fit and feel was excellent. But my heart was set on the Sig P220, I had to wait 9 years to get it.

Love shooting slugs. It's like releasing the hounds of Hell on a target.

m4a1mustang 03-06-2011 12:42 PM

I shot an XDM Compact 9mm today and hated it. Not a fan at all. I think that P2000SK tainted things for me for a carry gun. I really liked it!
