I have a FN57, so any of that ammo I would like. I have reloading dies for it now , but finding the bullets is hard. I have a gen1 and getting a red dot on top is no fun.
My son is into the Makarov pistols now and is resizing and making 9 x 18 ammo out of 9mm casings. We have will be casting these bullets soon. Tired of relying on ammo stores.

Here's the 9mm bullet mold I use. 124gr round nose with gas check. The gas checks helps to keep the barrel leading to a minimum.

I have been thinking of powder coating and run them thru a resizing die. Lee has the 6 cavity dies. I have no experience with those dies though.

If they're an aluminum mold. Stay away from them.

I just ordered a CZ82 + Holster ( good condition) from J&G sales. Just picked up 1000rds of 9x18 at the local pawn for the brass. Easy carry and I don't care if it gets scratched. :)

A dirty gun is like a dirty woman. Lots of fun, easy to clean. Ooops did I say that out loud.

At least the like to dislike ratio and comments on the video did give me some hope in humanity. I'm surprised comments and the like counter are still visible.

I just ordered a https://www.steiner-defense.com/lase...series/dbal-a2
It is a used one that I want to play around with on the AR platform. Anyone else have one of these?

Is it a real one? I thought they were only sold to LE/Mil.
Edit: Well at least that specific version. There are CIV friendly versions (has to do with laser power) but at closed to $1500 i wouldn't buy one. Other more affordable options out there.

Well, hmmmm... I'm not sure I need one of these, but it would be interesting to have. The cost would be a factor, but I've read that you should spend as much on optics as you spent on the rifle.

Decisions, decisions.... do I run an EOTECH on my ARs or do I put specific optics on each rifle for specific purposes? My AR-10 I consider my 500yd+ rifle, so a good variable power scope would be best. My 6.8 SPC I consider a mid-range (200-500yd), so I could either go iron sights or a variable scope (or both). The 300 BLK (pistol & spare upper) I consider close quarter (house clearing and up to 150 yds, so laser or a good RDS would probably work best. Ugh.... too many choices.... :rofl2::rofl2:

Yeah, everything is stupid expensive right now. I picked up some factory second bullets for my 6.8 from Midway. They don't look too bad to me....;) and they were reasonably priced.

Luckily I have plenty of powder, but I am running out of small pistol primers. Those seem to be in the same category as gold right now.. FFS. The Steiner DBAL I have is in good shape. It is a white light/ Red laser and built to last. I did not get a remote switch for it, so I am going order one of those. The purpose of this would be for close quarters/dark encounters .

That sucks. Anything gun related I'm looking to see if it is in stock before ordering it. Some things have ridiculous lead times. I'm hoping things will settle down soon but I fear that regardless of who wins the election things will not. :shakes head:

Electronics are the same way. I have been waiting for a soundbar from the beginning of August. Took me almost 4 months to get two marantz receivers. But that had more to do with the Virus. I think the gun stuff became scarce because of the riots and looting.

That's for sure. I needed a set of iron sights for my 300 BLK pistol and wound up getting the front sight from one place and the rear sight from some where else. :icon14: Thankfully, they are the same color...:rofl2::rofl2:

I can get 30-06 ammo all day, but can't find any 308 or 223. I really don't want to tote around a 1903A3 Springfield bolt action, but.....I can take out targets 600 to 1000 yds away....:yum: The recoil is a bit much for my skinny butt.... :icon14:

Buckle up, boys... it's likely to get bumpy over the next 2 weeks or so. :icon17:

My academy had a decent amount of both 308/223 last week. The 308 wasn’t the weight my scope is dialed in at, so I passed.

I run 165gr bullets in my 308, so I figure anything from 150 to 180 will just be a 'hold over or under' from where it's zero'd at.

At the risk of being crass, anywhere in a 10" circle on a silhouette target will be lethal.... :wtf2:

I agree there, but I currently have it sighted for one specific hunting round. I like to keep it there, but yes, a little up or down and you are good. Of course if you are within 200yrds it ain’t going to make much of a difference anyway.

This election is becoming more and more important.
ATF looking to go full retard on AR/AK pistols and more.
Stay vigilant!

Read about it somewhere else. The ATF wants to make them SBR's.

If I read the article right they want to turn them into AOWs which is still a NFA item. I guess people who are saying SBR think if you have to go NFA might as well go SBR than AOW considering the paper work. The only advantage to going AOW is the stamp is $5 instead of $200.

I have the 608. Not a bad revolver. The center pin did get stuck once and had to go back to Taurus. They fixed it for free. Seems to be a common issue with Taurus revolvers.

AOW was what I understood also. I have a M4 adjustable stock and a full length 300 blk upper, so I guess I'm swapping stocks and stashing a pistol upper. :ugh2:
