What. The. Actual. ****.
Binger: "You lose the right to self-defense when you're the one who brought the gun." |

What the hell does he want him to do? Write him love letters. |

I don’t know about you guys but in self defense situations I was told you better have the bigger stick and know how to use it. AND, just because some one doesn’t have a gun doesn’t mean they’re not dangerous. |

Well I am to old to care. You come at me with the intent to cause me harm in that way, well the outcome for the attacker may be fatal. Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

Not to mention that with no sights, that rifle won't be very accurate.... :ugh2: |
Was there an armorer present that handed him the gun after all the proper safety checks?

There are theories out there saying that he did that on purpose trying to get a response out of the defense. Remember the prosecution was making a big deal out of Rittenhouse pointing his gun at people. Imagine this, the defense objects and the Little Dinger says something like I'm just doing what your client did the night in question. I wouldn't be surprised if that was his goal but I'm definitely not ruling out that he is a moron. |

BTW I'm surprised that the armorer didn't lock back the bolt. I would have. |

It passed the House yesterday. But Dumb CHIT Wolf said that he will veto it. Can't wait for '22 for when his term is over. |
The number one rule of firearms...don't point you gun at anything you don't want to kill!

BTW speaking of shooting to stop the threat, I like how Rittenhouse handled Little Binger trying to get him to say he intended to kill those guys. |
Rumor has it. It's 2 jurors holding things up.

If I am using a weapon for self protection, it is always locked loaded. It was that way when I had kids and I thought them about gun safety before they had a chance to be curious about guns. They were just part of our life which came with rules and discipline. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

I’m not feeling good about this. Fortunately I think the judge will step in if the jury come back with a conviction. |

Speaking of training, I don’t have kids but I do have young nephews and nieces. Every chance I get I train them on firearms. The oldest 2 (9, 7 years old) have a standing invitation to ask to look at my guns, supervised of course, and every time we go over safe gun handling and how to properly clear the weapons we are looking at. When they get older/bigger they’ll get to shoot them. Right now the thing I’m drilling into all their heads is when they come across a gun not in the control of an adult, to run away, tell an adult and tell their parents. |

When I was trained by the DoD. Always have a round chambered. You don't have time to rack a slide. If you have to rack a slide, you're dead. When they sent me to eastern Europe during the cold war. It was necessary.

We had a lot of 'zeros' that thought they knew how to clear a weapon. It's real simple, drop the mag, lock the slide to the rear, inspect the chamber, let the slide go home, point the muzzle at the clearing barrel and pull the trigger. Reinsert the magazine, chamber a round and place pistol back in holster. Easy peasy. Well, this one Major decided he didn't have to drop the mag. He cycled the slide, aimed at the clearing barrel and pulled the trigger. When his pistol went off, it startled him so bad, he shot the clearing barrel again. :shakes head: He got nicknamed 'Captain Quick Draw'.... |

I think this trial red pulled a lot of people. People got to see that the media and the DAs were blatantly lying and manipulating evidence.
Most important thing is that Kyle won but this was also a victory for self defense and 2A. However the next thing that needs to happen is an investigation into the prosecution. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with withholding/modifying evidence like they did. |
I just watched the verdict being read in court with Kyle standing. That was heart wrenching for such a young man to have to endure.
