If you want to loose fat and gain muscle just get a good weight lifting program going instead as weight lifting will speed your metabolism up for a longer amount of time than cardio as long as your doing it intensly. As far as the supplements go (saw a few people mention it) I would say stay off that crap you can easily get the same results and better without any of that in your body.
about supplements go, food is the best supplement there is, but something funny I read on bodybuilding forums is that some people are taking test while on p90x.

I suspect this is because their diet is not adequate, and they are not taking enough protein, so they are using test to make sure they can maintain muscle while losing weight.

I am not ripping on you, because to be honest you look very muscular and in good shape, but most of the big guys at the gym who do their best to get huge and are always panting and out of breath after every set in the gym.

I compete in MMA and I used to weight train bodybuilding style. Bodybuilding it's 'pretty boy' muscle, which means it looks nice but is useless when competing in a lot of sports. I can't tell you how many guys who have tons of muscle on me, I can submit in under a minute because they gass out so fast.

P90x not that unsimilar to how many MMA athletes train with short explosive circuits and active recovery between sets. It is the BEST way to increase overall health, but you are right, it will never make you get huge and muscular, which I don't think it the goal.

You can expect THIS type of physique from a P90X/MMA routine, which I think is much more functional, much faster, and much more practical.
everything you say is true, bodybuilding is mostly looks, you look though but the reality is that you are just to heavy to do anything. I guess it all depends on what your goal is, p90x will get you looking like you, if your diet is good.

Pitz I'll bench press you!! J/k I do want to get bulkier. I'm getting married in Oct. And I just wanted to look good on the beach. But now I want to get bigger especially my glamour muscles. But I want to stay healthy like it was said earlier I can lift and do everyday stuff with ease now after p90 and I want to continue that. I work in the oil field so trust me when I say ease I mean ease

Use thermognics like oxyelite pro and a preworkout like jack3d and a good whey protein with the nutrition system and you'll be good.

I've been through it twice now and am very pleased with the muscle development and strength that I was able to acheive. Be sure to take care of your joints if you have done a lot of weight lifting in the past couple of years because it is hell on your joints even if you are supplementing. I got tendenitis in my right shoulder (1-arm pushups) the second time around and had to let it rest for five months. I haven't done crap during that time and my ab muscles are still showing while pushups and pullups are a breeze.

Mass Fuzion Recovery drinks mixed with PRO 5 strawberry protein shakes made me feel like he-man for 6 months straight!

I too, similar to Pitz, was losing muscle.

Long story short, in my opinion, P90x is only good for those needing to lose weight. Not those trying to gain muscle mass

The body builder look isn't for everyone. The P90X is about being lean and ripped, Jaden's picture is a perfect example of what the results should look like if you do it right. Given that you already had a very large muscle mass to maintain you probably weren't taking in enough calories and protein to maintain that mass while on P90X. I'm guessing you would have needed close to 5000 calories if you wanted to maintain the bulk.

^ exactly. And even for people like me the full result of P90x isn't really what I need for playing soccer and basketball. I'm not looking for the absolutely 'ripped' look, but after I did about half the program, then adjusted my training, I'm maintaining enough muscle to bully around larger people in the post, while still maintaining enough speed to burn people out on the soccer pitch.

Yep, it's easy to customize which is nice. I've never been overweight and I wasn't trying to lose weight, just increase definition so I more or less ignored the food plan and just did my own thing making sure that I was getting enough protein.

Yeah, I really should go back and work on definition though. Someone at the gym the other day was asking me how I got a LOT stronger in the post, and I said 'I did a little of the P90x program'. They just said '...really?'

Yeah...expectations are pretty high on P90x completionists haha

6MT - i wrote football first, then figured i should probably stop being so euro, just in case

Yeah "football" is too vague, there are at least 10 different types of football out there just off the top of my head. In Australia we play 4 of them
