To the white folks that don't think racism exist, you are probably a little racist yourself. To the minorities that think everything is against them, they need to overcome it and stop complaining. There is no free ride, work harder and overcome it.

BTW, to the folks who think there are no racism, maybe they should try to talk to a minority and have them give you examples. I can name you one from yesterday. I was buying a new handgun yesterday. Due to an IT limitation, I couldn't put in a country of birth. Instead of putting one that is closest to reality, I was forced to put in one that matched my ethnicity. I don't think there was any malicious intend from the manager, but I doubt it would happen to someone who is not minority. I didn't get angry at the manager, but these are the kind of things minorities have to deal with.

I don't guess I've met any of these people that don't think racism exists. The biggest racists I've run across don't deny it's existence - they just believe that it is justifiable (or give it a different name, eg, Manifest Destiny). The most oblivious People of White Privilege that I know acknowledge it's existence - they just don't think it's as bad as it really is.

I agree wholeheartedly that there shouldn't be a free ride but why should someone have to work harder to achieve the same result as any other person? Why in the world should anybody have to do ANY work to enjoy the same basic freedoms and rights as anyone else?

Maybe your state is different. I am minority and I have been told many times there is no racism because I am doing okay financially. Have you been asked where you are really from? I used to get that a lot even though my NY/New England accent is horrific.

BTW I don't believe in white privilege either. I think it's just a term some minorities use as an excuse. Some of the most racist incidents I had from childhood were all from minorities.

I believe. I've seen it in action. Yes, it is sometimes used as an excuse, but not always.

Racism knows no boundaries. All races, colors, creeds, etc have their share of bigots.
