You can just drill the f out of the bushing, but yes that would work well. Be sure to freeze the bushings for a few days. Use a drilled piece of angle iron, a longass bolt, and one of the stock bushing circular plates to help push the bushing in.

You don't need a tranny jack. Betty just has a thing for trannys named Jack.

Most any regular floor jack is enough for the diff. Or being able to bench 40lbs

I couldn't see your location on mobile. The hotel is only an hourish from cinnci depending on where you're at and I will be stuck with nothing to do every other sunday. I have the tool to remove the center of the bushing and can bring other goodies to make things easier.

If you want help we can set something up for sure.

I'm actually just south of cincy in nky. I'm about 15 mins from downtown. I bought Z1 solid bushings and the install tool from another member on here. March is bad for me, but if you're down to help let me know what works for you sometime next month and I'm game!

Well worth it I kept the tranny (). Cost me $120 originally. Saved 4x that on the labor DIYing. 7 years later and I'm looking to make use of it again to save labor

Tranny jacks are very useful. When you need it, you need it. Beats humping the tranny on your chest under the car and man handling it up in the car. Been there done that twice. Things are more readily available these days.
