Carmax basically confirmed the insurance offer. Private sale comps are few and far between due to the age/mileage combo and vary widely in price. Luckily, we just got paid today for the work at Ft. Belvoir a while back, so my cut will cover the remaining loan balance. Looks to be closer to $3100 for me up front because of some additional coverages on the car that were rolled into the loan. Hopefully I'll get $500-1000 refund from Honda Financial after all is said and done.
Right that ************ off as a business loss! Don't get mad get even. I would lay heavy on the pain and suffering to make up for the difference.
