I do a lot of welding projects and given the climate I live in I'm destined to just sweat to death. Fans will blow away shielding gas and if I run AC I need to sort out some sort of extractor hood so the fumes don't kill me. I may just mount a small 12" fan on the underside of the welding table so at least my torso can soak up some breeze.
Those mini splits are the ****. The danmar will be a blessing too.

The 5000BTU (~0.4 ton) window unit I have installed makes a noticeable difference in the comfort level of my garage. On a hot day (90-95F/95-100%RH outside), temp in garage will get over 80F (when I set the unmarked thermostat so that the compressor will cycle on and off) but the humidity is knocked down to about 50%. 50% is still a little higher than I would like but MUCH better than 100%. I have some box and radial fans on standby but haven't done enough hard work out there to spin them up so far.

If you're going to be welding, you'll need to keep a close eye on your A/C filter(s).

I'm hoping that when I finish insulating the ceiling the A/C will be able to drop the humidity even more. I also need to install a seal on the bottom of the garage door - bought the seal, just haven't felt like installing it.

Edit: An extractor hood would probably be counterproductive - it would blow your conditioned air outside and suck outside air inside.

I just installed a cheap 9000btu mini split in our guest suite (renting on Airbnb) and I couldn't be more impressed with it. <$600, super effective, and surprisingly quiet.

Nope. Might get to it once the weather warms up. Have a few other projects with higher priority. Need to finish insulating the ceiling. Right now, I'm having one of the bathrooms painted.

The expanded workbench has come in handy. Used it to work on some guns (bought some gunsmithing screwdrivers) and several repairs on a buddy's vehicles. Will set up my electroplating project again when warmer weather gets here.

The new/old split is where the stool with box is.
Edit: New part is to the left.

I'd like to see a pic in 6 months or so.

You have plenty of peg board to help keep things neat. Most hardware stores will have a wide selection of "pegs" to fit different kinds of tools. I've found that the pegs with the leg that pokes in the hole below the hook part will stay put much better when you grab a tool.

Finally, I also got to my garage and decided to clean up the tools. But almost immediately I ran into a problem - my toolbar does not open. The top drawer is jammed and I could not solve this problem. finally, I found a solution on the Internet how to do this, I finally understood. And if you have the same problem, the solution is here https://toolboxwiki.com/blog/how-to-...olbox-drawers/
