I appreciate all the previous comments on the television question....

I just wondered about the different technologies and what would work well for all around general usage. I want get me one of them new TV’s that are fairly smart.

I have kinda poor eyesight and will sitting about 24” away from the screen.

The TV will be for watching everything from sports to soft porn to home improvement shows... and maybe even some reruns of Gilligan's Island or that old gal named Orca Winfrey

All variety’s of lighting conditions from daylight in a very bright home to total darkness while sitting partially naked on a little metal folding chair...

I'z up.

I'm up early. Motorhome is going out today for the weekend. They was to be here at 6am to pick it up. Takes me about 1.5 hrs to run through everything with them. I have have to be out of here around 10 after 8. And they ain't here yet.

I was a big fan of Trinitron monitors. My Dad tried to give me a large Trinitron TV about 10 years ago but it was too heavy for us to move. He ended up getting a couple of big guys to haul it to Goodwill.
