Once the upper arm is free of the knuckle. Try to move the arm up and down. You will see how much resistance there is with the stock rubber bushings. Do the same thing once you have the SPL arms installed but not to the knuckle. The arms will fall under their own weight.

Now think of every rubber bushing in the whole suspension system doing that. That is a lot of resistance. In the front you have 8 bushings. In the rear, you have 18 bushings.

Come to think of it. That's a LOT of monkey motion in the rear.
