These are plastic but I think you can order them with alum. mounts.

I'll look into it. Pretty sure I'd want to massage that mounting bracket for a bit cleaner fit. But I'm funny that way

I wasn't dissing your install at all. Thinking more of the shape of the mounting bracket itself. Can see where it has angular lines where they should be softly rounded to match up with Orem bits; that sort of thing.

It probably is something that you'd be blind to almost as soon as your done, but don't want to end up with a fit and finish like an Evo either

Gotcha. I am kinda anal about spacing and as I was taking pics I noticed they need adjusting. I was too lazy to fix it though lol.

I'm honestly considering just trading it in for a newer sport model. Wondering if I can get something for what i am paying now.

Mine is under warranty. I wonder if I could bring it to the dealership and have them look at the front bumper, alignment issues with the hood and fenders, the gap between the headlights and bumper, and the dremeled battery cover.

I suspect that wouldn't be covered under warranty but it's definitely worth exploring.

These hoods are easy to align, I've not messed with the fenders but typically aren't too difficult even if a tab that they bolt to needs to be massaged somewhat for a proper fit. The only real adjustment for the bumper cover is the extension that protrudes off the road cradle. Even by yourself it's all very doable just takes a little time and patience.

And perhaps a bit of cursing!

From what I saw when installing the front lip. The left headlight housing bracket was misaligned. When you push hard against the headlight, it becomes flush with the hood, but the bolt holes won't stay aligned to keep it in place. But when you push it to align with the hood, the bottom of the headlight is leaving a gap from the top of the front bumper. I can't readjust the light bracket without removing the fender with is misaligned with the top of the hood. None of which is really visible unless you know what to look for. But it's always in the back of my head that the car is flawed from some shady business in the past.

Maybe it's worth paying for a couple hours at a bodyshop and have them sort it out. That's very much the sort of thing I wouldn't trust a dealer to do any better of a job on than it already is.

That's true. I just don't want this to snowball into a $1000+ fix for a few inches in fixes. I wonder if a shop would give quotes on what little idea I have.

Nice car, I really like the 40th. Are the really going for that much $$ though? Dang that's pretty good resale value for a seller.

I didn't think that price was bad. haha. I def overpaid on mine because they're rare as hell around my area. think mine was 24k after everything was over. Sorta sickening for a 2009.... But it did come with factory warranty left still since it was a CPO.
