I dunno, I think black anything would get lost in the engine bay. The polished tubes really stand out and look great.

Damn shame (as we both have red Zs) you can't get in the same color as I got for my RSX--RED. That would have looked great in the bay !

I agree, silver is the next best choice.

+1 for the informative post !

Do it! They have a 1PM slot open... I'm sure they'd start you right after me. I will get some vid of yours on the dyno.

My concern is that those side 'pockets' where the Ingens sit don't have as much airflow access as the Stillen kit gets right in front of the radiator.

I took the front fascia off to replace the horns and those lateral areas seem very isolated from good airflow. This just puts the intake filters in their own isolated little pockets once the fascia is back on. I'd be surprised if the gains for the Ingen come anywhere close to the Stillen GenIII.

They seem that way, but it's not like they are sealed off or anything. A fair amount of air that enters through the front grille makes it's way to those pockets.

If it's really a concern, you could always remove the "dividers" and completely open that area up, but then I'd worry about getting the filters wet in rain driving. Your best bet would probably be to cut holes in the dividers and use Steve's (Modshack) technique to divert some more air into that area.

Re-reading through the 10 pages I found Q & A's on whether there would be a benefit on routing a hose from the fang area to the filter. And where does the air come from if the compartment of the air filter (Injen CAI filter placement) is completely sealed from outside environment.

I wanted to hilight some of the points of interest to save future readers from having to read all 10 pages.

Hope this helps!
It did for me!

Cheers
Curtis

As far as pricing... PM the vendors. They can't publicly post the special pricing due to agreements with the manufacturers.

BTW, my apologies for the dirty pipes. I will clean them up tomorrow and get a pic of them clean and shiny. I'm really glad I opted for polished over powdercoated black.

BTW, I was able to get on it a bit today. It feels like there's a little more "pull" as you approach 7,500 RPM.

But by far the biggest noticeable difference these make is the sound. The mid-range growl sounds awesome and overall the engine/exhaust is a bit louder.

We'll see on Saturday if these things actually make any power!
