Chris, they haven't been blowing longtubes out of the water... Every other shorty, definitely.

No one has done a direct comparison to the PPE stepped headers, but the results have been comparable, sort of. My 326-330whp is with the PPEs on an OEM exhaust system... We'll see what they do with the fast intentions exhaust in May.

Didn't those momentum headers cost you around 800 plus TPs?

Even if they were 600 plus TP's, you're still damned close to the cost of the PPE's.

And you can't really get momentums if you don't already have them so... yeah.

If it works, it works. That's what I say.

I paid like 500 for my headers, and brand new test pipes at Z1 were 140. I thought PPE LTH were over 1k? Even if they were 600, plus tps, its still cheaper. Keep in mind the use the old DE 350 style test pipe/cat and is much cheaper than the 370 counterpart

I understand, and all dynos read different. They are both good products, and both seems to produce like numbers. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some of the hype for momentum was due to the fact of left over inventory... Either way they both make power over stock, and the end result is .

I was not trying to cause strife, just pointing out that the momentums make close to the same gains if not equal to ppe. And lets face it. A tune does wonders for throttle response and the drive. But again we are talking peak HP (which honestly doesn't mean anything) torque should be the only thing people are concerned about as it is what makes your car "fast". Anyway, i have only ever seen a tune turn up an extra 3-8 peak WHP on our cars. We will have a better idea when i get my car on the dyno before and after tune.

.....My dyno before and after tune. Tuning was done at 9pm at night so it was cool out and weather did not vary between the 2 1/2 hours of tuning. I was the first 370z hes ever tuned so its not a great graph. Gains are good and even throughout the powerband. Just needs to smooth it out.

I stand corrected! Thanks for the info

No problem. You should get pretty significant gains from a tune also with all the mods you have done. Probably doing like mine was and just running stupid rich with a forced 10.5:1 AFR for safe mode. Your gains will probably be better then mine with a more knowledgable tuner. Like I said, I was his first 370 hes ever tuned.
