Tauruszguy 12-19-2010 10:42 PM

I am sold!!! I think the cb tdx with 12" Res is the way to go for me since I have no plans to install hfc. I am in Chicago so the Z hibernates until spring. How soon should I place an order to insure delivery when Im ready to roll? Thanks!!

Place order now! $200 down. Then you can make payments over the next 3 months to pay it off, that puts you to March. Then from production to shipping puts you into April, ready for springtime!

I need to get in on this action. I know this might of already been answered but I feel obligated to do so!

Our resonated system is quieter than the non resonated system. We have (3) options in total for the X Pipe.

1) Non resonated
2) 12" resonated
3) 18" resonated

The longer the resonator, the quieter the system within the cabin. The beauty is we are able to achieve this without hurting the performance at all!

If you have any further questions or would like to place an order, please do not hesitate to call me directly...

Thank you, Tony

Now would be a good time. I have two different order options.

1) Conventional: At the time the order is placed all I require is a $200 non refundable deposit. The remaining balance is not charged to you until your exhaust is ready to ship. As of right now you would be looking at a 4-8 week lead time.

2) Payment Plan: At the time the order is placed I take a 25% non refundable deposit. From there you have 3+ months to pay the system off. We can take equal payments from there or you can pay it off at the end. There is no early payment penalty or interest. This option works for someone who needs more time.

I am here for whatever you need. Please do not hesitate to call me directly with any questions that you may have...

Thank you, Tony

Hahaha, well as you found out, we were not a scam. If I recall correctly, all I required you to pay was the deposit. You chose to pay more up front. I could be wrong though, afterall it has been awhile.

All is well that ends well.

I hope you are still enjoying our exhaust...

Thanks, Tony

ofcourse I am still enjoying the exhaust.

except for cops pulling me over after sitting behind me in a traffic jam and smelling the gas smell and gave me a week to change back to stock cats.

Just installed HFC and exhaust... Have any of y'all heard a hissing noise when you let off the throttle? Wasn't here til after the install... Any thoughts Tony? It goes away when I throttle back on, weird.

That is the famed F.I. Exhaust hiss. There is nothing wrong with your setup, nothing to worry about. After a while I learned to like it. lol It's like an odd sounding blowoff valve, so if I'm riding next to someone in their little civic, I downshift for the rev matching and let the hiss just catch their attention lol. They don't look so happy when they go off dragging coke cans down the street behind them :rofl2:

SM5654 12-22-2010 09:38 AM

Man that's good to hear... I thought I did something wrong during install or the silicone didn't cure right. Phew... Ps I $%€*ing love this setup! HFC and 18" resonators is the best 370 system I've heard for anyone considering a system

Until you hear the F.I. LTH's

Although you're right the HFC/18" Res is an amazing setup, I'm debating whether or not to switch myself. :rofl2:

It is totally fine. It has nothing to do with the X Pipe though. The sound is actually there when the stock exhaust is on, you just have to listen very closely to hear it! All aftermarket exhaust systems will promote it, not just ours. As you relieve more back pressure and modify the car further it becomes more prominent. That is why it is minimal with just the CBE but when LTH's are thrown into the mix it is louder.

Thanks, Tony

Sibze 12-22-2010 02:47 PM

How much sound does the HFC's add? Same for the LTH's???

I have the 18 res right now

The HFC's will increase the sound level 15%-20%

The LTH's will increase the sound level 25%-30%

Now keep in mind, this pertains to outside the car and with the exhaust that you have.

As far as inside the cabin, the LTH's will be quieter. You are scratching your head and saying how is that possible. I will tell you!

The headers have a higher exhaust note. It is more exotic sounding. The cats have a much lower note which is deeper. The deeper note tends to promote more interior noise resonance AKA drone. This is not to say that the high flow cats might have too much drone for you. Sound is subjective and everyone perceives it differently.

I am just stating what you asked, comparing one to the other.

Thanks, Tony

Sibze 12-22-2010 03:10 PM

Thanks Tony that's great!

Now I have to look into Canadian laws to see if there is any issues with them.

From what I am told from previous Canadian customers, you should have zero issues with emissions.

I am here when you are ready...

Thanks, Tony

I must say I finally was able to hear the 18" carbon fiber setup on my buddies Nismo last night and it sounded great. He installed it 2 days ago and couldn't be happier. He also got the resonated test pipes but was unable to install them for whatever reason.

Just wondering, perhaps it's discussed in the other 350 pages that I'm not about to read through.... is there much of a difference between resonated test pipes vs high flow cats? They both seem the same to me? I guess the Res TP give you 3whp more than HFCs?

I don't think I'll pull the trigger until I hear them on his Nismo soon. But, I was actually very impressed with the 18" carbon fiber. Just a bit too quiet for my taste but I'm sure changing out the cats will take care of that for me.

I have been wondering what do you guys use to clean the exhaust up, I tried severall things but they barely work and the exhaust is seriously dirty now >_>

http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...cture082-1.jpg

the only thing I know that works is taking her to a track since the extreme heat cleans them up, well that was what happened to the stock exhaust.

NewYorkJon34 01-02-2011 09:59 AM

Geez that looks horrible, you have to keep it clean on a regular basis. I use a chrome polisher, which works really well if you scrub it.

NewYorkJon34 01-02-2011 10:02 AM

Tony is there any way I can swap out my 18" resonators for the 12"? I think I want it louder.

murphman 01-02-2011 10:27 AM

wow those tips look like they just came out of a BBQ pit

Vegitto-kun 01-02-2011 10:34 AM

I know, I try to clean them once in a while but it barely helps.

Tauruszguy 01-03-2011 03:14 PM

Just ordered my CBE with 12" res from Fast Intensions! I had to post and say what excellent customer service I received. Tony completely rocks! Thanks for being so thorough and informative. Can't wait to hear the sweet tuneZ of F.I. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Rickey89 01-03-2011 06:53 PM

i would like to second that motion, i called fast intentions today and tony immediately picked up and was very helpful throughout the purchase process.

He helped direct me in the direction that would meet my needs specifically, it is ordering an exhaust a la carte? i think thats the word, it was a great experience at a great price for what is purchased.

Thanks tony,

looking forward to the exhaust!:driving:

"Mothers" polish should do the trick. Believe it or not sometimes the aluminum polish does a better job than the stainless steel on stainless steel. That tip looks hammered, what did you do to it? Worst case scenario you will need to put a polishing ball on a drill and actually polish it back out. f you have no idea what I am talking about, just let me know and I will point you in the right direction.

Keep in touch...

Thanks, Tony
