Tony,
I also sent you pm regarding an order.

Thanks

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 07:03 PM

might get this. still doubting between this and the stillen exhaust.

I do love the look of it with the two seperate pipes instead of them being behind them.

do wonder what is the point of changing resonator size?

sound change or something else?

I guess the CF option is purely for looks

Sound. 12" resonators are louder. 18" is quieter. CF mufflers are for looks, weight, and sound. They are a little bit louder than the stainless ones.

GET IT. It owns the Stillen CBE hardcore.

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 07:13 PM

louder is better haha.

how much HP does it actually increase on the wheels?

wondering about HFC, which would be the best to combine with the FI exhaust? the FI ones or somebody else?

or I might just go race pipe haha. cops are too stupid to realise the difference

shawnal 03-17-2010 07:21 PM

#97 its almost here

I would just run the FI HFCs with the FI CBE... if anything it makes ordering easier.

I think the gains were around 20 whp for the CBE.

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 07:41 PM

well my choice will depend on two factors.

price and customer service.

fatcat777 03-17-2010 07:42 PM

Nothing about the stillen is better except it costs less, you get what you pay for. if you are debating between the FI and stillen. just go look at how far the stillen tips stick out. I'm not a fan

Both of which I think you'll find no better than going with F.I.

And I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one who will tell you this.

LoL The funny thing is I don't even have my CBE + LTH's yet, but I already know of F.I.'s quality and good service.

Go FI. You won't regret it. Tony is the man. Best customer service in the business.

Not to mention the system outperforms Stillen's in both sound, performance, and quality.

I mean, I like Stillen, but c'mon. There's no comparison here. FI is far and away the better of the two.

XwChriswX 03-17-2010 07:49 PM

Now we just need F.I. to make an Intake and they will OWN the entire Z marketshare lol.

m4a1mustang 03-17-2010 07:50 PM

Well Tony already has plans for a TT kit. lol.

I think for a 50% reduction in kit cost, I'll just donate my Z to Tony to be their spokescar. I have no problem driving around the region for shows to showcase their awesome work lol.

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 07:55 PM

Mmm I have decided.

I shall get the FI exhaust.

with 12" resonators and CF mufflers. are the mufflers really seeable if you are just standing behind the car? Anybody have to have a picture with the CF mufflers on the car?

Still looking if I should go HFC or test pipes.

I know I read your topic.

thing sounds mad sexy.

but I am looking for the CF version.

So what are the pro/cons compared to the HFC/test pipes?

And a pretty odd question. does FI put stickers with the order since im the type of person that likes putting the parts's company name on my car for promoting them

No stickers but Tony throws in a license plate frame. :)

Too bad. I am a sucker for stickers :roflpuke2:

@tony. I guess I will be on that list one of these days.

209Z 03-17-2010 08:25 PM

go FI HEADERS AND FI EXHAUST + GTM OR STILLEN SUPERCHARGER = GOD and Orgasm SAME TIME!

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 08:29 PM

supercharger is basically a nono.

I am pretty sure that this is a instant red card if they check my car

I would prefer a twin turbo setup over a supercharger anyway for some reason.

I do wonder how my car will sound with stillen gen3 intake + FI exhaust with 12 " resonator and cf mufflers + test pipes :roflpuke2:

Chef Irvine,

How is your setup for daily driving? I am thinking about adding HFCs... maybe.

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 08:34 PM

good kind of loud or "oh boy here comes the bastard again" :roflpuke2:

Probably a little bit of both, it's going to sound sweet but it's going to be LOUD!

I'd do HFCs instead of test pipes... thats just me.

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 08:37 PM

Haha. the way I like it I guess.

what is the purpose of the resonated cat pipes?

Yea the HFC's bumped up the bass a little its still in the settling in stage, and is a little less loud as when it was first fired up, but this is expected till the mufflers packing cures after some further heat cycles. I'm Very Happy with the Sound... Once again Thanks Tony :tiphat:

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 08:52 PM

well how high would the DB be if I got the race pipes instead of HFC

I have no info on db level
Can someone chime in, if that info is available?

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 08:58 PM

it would be quite nice to know since most race tracks don't allow cars going over 90db

LOL you'd be over 90db at WOT I'm sure!

Vegitto-kun 03-17-2010 09:03 PM

Haha HFC's it is then.

if I had the materials and time I would buy both and put the HFCs on when tracking

Slynky 03-17-2010 09:04 PM

Nice to see mine are shipping soon. My dilemma...le sigh...

I'm still in breakin period. 700 miles as of today which is nearly 2 months after purchase. So, do I put them on before I get 1200 miles and never feel the difference or do I go out and tour Georgia to get 1200 miles first?

Jamaica 03-17-2010 09:05 PM

I can only imagine how the car will sounds with headers.
